What first world problem did you have today?

I haven't been to a strip club in decades.
Finally get bored. Go to the nicest looking based on web photos.
Walk in. Its OK. Almost no girls out front. Soon they stroll out of the back room.
Sitting and talking to cutie named Scarlett. She has a pink Pixie Cut. Everything seems mellow.
We hear a terrible explosion in the back.
Strong gust of warm air shoots out the hallway and blasts that stupid little black curtain hanging from a string.
Suddenly we hear horrific screaming from somebody probably female.
All the guys run to the back room. DJ comes out to his mike.
"Excuse me gentlemen we need everyone to leave out the front door, NOW!"
All the house lights come up. We calmly make our way out. I'm driving down the road, see an ambulance coming my way with sirens blaring and lights flashing.
I still have no clue what happened. Probably another couple decades till I go back to a strip club.

I saw that this morning and then I also found out Amazon owned them. Both things sad. To Amazon just a little cost cutting measure but to photography nerds they were an invaluable resource

I bought my first camera 20 years ago using their reviews as a big part of it and everything I bought since I've always checked their website. Just a very well done review system.

I think LASIK is a scam, the pricing anyways. I use to always hear commercials on the radio "$1,499 per eye" I went to get a consultation and they told me it was gonna be $5k an eye due to all sorts of extra shit that needed to be done. I get there are factors that can alter pricing but from 1,500 to 5,000 is a fucking jump. And my vision's not WTFBBQSAUCE bad, so I refuse to believe anyone who needs LASIK could get it for $1.5k an eye. Then they wanted to try and finance me at I'm sure some absurdly high intrest rate so I'd end up spending $10k when I went in expecting to drop $3k.

This was like 10 years ago so I might be off with the $5k per eye, but I remember it wasn't going to be anywhere close to what the radio said lol.
 
had an aggravating situation where drain pipe was backing up - into the shower, and toilet - because someone overdid the t.p.

After the plumber came and went (for $412) the kitchen sink started not draining anymore - though the shower, toilet, and washing machine seem to drain ok now.

Soooo, blockage has moved to block the kitchen sink, plumber will return today.
Will say, it's nice to not have the one sink trickle constantly anymore, nor have the shower drip eternally.
 
These ncaa men's basketball tournament games are on ESPN and TNT? Is UConn vs Gonzaga not mainstream enough for ABC or CBS?

That happened to me too last night. I swear I was on this thread and all of a sudden my post appeared in the Post the Cutest Thing Ever thread...
 
I was going to make coffee yesterday so I put in four cups of water in the coffe maker. Then realised I was making chinese pancakes for breakfast so boiled water and made almond drink intead. This morning I added another four cup of water and my coffee is tasteless.

So I prep kids lunch and then realised one of the lunch bad had the cover flap torn clean off. As in the edge of the lunch bag didn't have any sign of damage as if there has never been a flap there.

Took me ten seconds to realise I was feeling the wrong edges.

I blame the weak coffee.

I have a window with a broken seal, just had the estimator come by, don't know the exact cost yet but ballpark is in the 2,000 range. Holy crap I didn't realize windows were that expensive. 😱 That is going to drain my savings account. Was hoping to use that money towards a new water heater. (going with heat pump ones they're around 3k).

They don't repair the individual panes. Though there is a company that does, they just never seem to be returning my calls... It's hard to tell where the leak actually is and since it's under a vacuum I imagine just regular sealant is not what is used.

I plan to move my computer desk to that room so want to get that done while the window is still accessible.

Though I might just wait until summer, then I'll try to see if I can take the pane out myself then I can bring it to the glass place.
 
Drill two holes on top of the window seal, borrow a co2 generator and fill the gap with co2. Seal again. It's just one atmosphere stuff so the preasure is equal inside and out, rubber or silicone type deal is good enough.

If I get a new window I might experiment with that, easier to do when the window is not actually installed as it's less of a race against time to get it done while there is a big opening where cold air is coming in. I probably need to try to get the pane out of the frame to do it properly.

Err plywood is a thing. Just do it in the two week summer.
 
Don't really want to screw messing with screwing plywood into the frame for something temporary.

The glass company showed up, a bit over $200 to change the pane + installation, so decided to go that route.
