I just noticed one of the windows in the spare room has a broken seal. I was not paying much attention to it before but it did seem suspect that window was getting more condensation than others. I went to check and took down the screen and sure enough the condensation is on the inside of the window pane. Called Canada Glass to see if they can repair or replace it, they're suppose to call me back to come check.

My eyes were so bad I could not even make out the big E without glasses. When I was doing an eye test I'd always say "I know it says E but I can't read that" when they ask me to read the smallest line I can.

Got LASIK so much better now.

My eye test in 2018 was so annoying. A lady doc and her assistant nurse. I kept telling them, I can see the small letters but they are not clear. And they were like, "It's OK. You can still tell what they are. It's fine". Wanted to smack both of them and tell them, it's NOT fine! I WANT clear vision! The lady doc told me to do the pencil focus exercise regularly. You can guess where I wanted to put that pencil. Good thing I can control my murderous tendencies.

I do remember smelling something, but it was more like an ozone smell. It actually felt more like it was an electric arc that was doing the work, than a laser. I wonder if the nature of the laser itself just creates a similar environment as an electric arc as far as the heat and what it's doing to the air. It is a UV laser so that could very well be why it smelled that way.

Well the whole camera market is toast so it is not a surprise. It is a loss though.

I hope DSLRs don't die out. I still much prefer the form factor to a phone, and overall usability is better. The actual quality of pics from phones is in fact incredible though, I'd say the only thing they lack at is doing a proper night time long exposure, but I think even then some phones can do that now.

Had to get hockey helmet for the nine year olds. The only one they can wear is adult large size...

I USED to get specs from Zenni Optical. But their QA is terrible and I frequently ended up with glasses way off the prescription. I could tell because everything looked worse, also I took them into the optometrist and their machine can measure what the prescription actually is, in like, 10 seconds. Fucking Zenni cant be bothered to get one of those machines and check glasses on the way out.
