Save early, save often! I've thought about getting a ups, but I've never had much trouble with losing data after power, so it hasn't been a big priority.

$20 coupon right now. A bit overkill, there are others. Plug in the USB cable and configure your shut down parameters. I run the battery down to 50%, to get by transients and then hibernate our systems. Mainly, I just want a clean shutdown after a Vista install became unrecoverable.

Turned off the wifi on the phone last week because it's spotty in my shop. Usually, it takes over again when I'm closer. Nope, went over my 10g. Normally, use 3 or so.

The person who used the gas pump before me was wearing entirely too much perfume. Now my hands smell flowery.

I briefly tried an electric brush I got somewhere cheap, but I wasn't all that impressed, so I quit using it. I've been using one of these the last couple years...

The huge head seems weird, but it works better than you might think. I also like the replaceable heads. Cuts plastic waste by a trivial amount, but anything's better than nothing.

Found out from my pet sitter that we have a water breach (not leak, breach) in front of our water tank. Unknown gallons of water released in the house, hopefully flowing out into the driveway. I was a thousand miles away enjoying my vacation, now in a fucking hotel room half a week early looking forward to spending tomorrow afternoon dehumidifying a room and pissing in unflushable toilets.

That sucks. Hopefully it's easier to cleanup than it sounds.
I'm guessing it will be. I was sent a video and it was a fuckton of water (think two shower heads on full). That water had to go somewhere and it wasn't an inch deep in the room so it found a way out. Just gonna be a long afternoon.

*RANT RANT* Amazon's new one time delivery password shit is super annoying. I think I probably already bitched about this in this thread, but it's damn frustrating.

So you can't pick the day you want it delivered, and the day it'll be delivered I might be able to see a real-time map with how many deliveries before they get to me, or I might not. Seems totally random whether that comes up. And a lot of what I order's too big to fit in an Amazon locker somewhere so I can't do that. And unlike UPS or Fedex who will take your package to a store for pick up after a 2nd failed attempt. I don't know what Amazon does after a 2nd fail attempt. I asked 2 drivers but they don't know exactly either. And like Fedex & UPS, at least in my neighborhood, the delivery could be close to 11AM or close to 9PM, there's no telling. So now I have to sit at home and hope they come early so I'm not stuck waiting for a damn package.

I sort of understand why they're doing this now, but nobody else is, and I hope to God other companies don't adopt this. Or at least if they do, let the person pick the delivery day.
