Drove a friend to an appointment, neither of us had been there so we didn't know exactly where it was. I found the address she said
"no this isn't it"
"huh? Yes it is, right on the building 2079"
"No, I told you the address for the office is 20790"
"I know what you said, but you were mistaken it's obviously 2079 we're looking"
"I know the address, I'm the one who wrote it down."
I tried explaining to her she had probably just jotted it down wrong, nope, we were clearly at the wrong address. So I told her if by some stretch of the wildest imagination she was actually correct. We were we won't make it there faaaaaaar away from 20790. I tried to explain how blocks work, and how 20790 isn't going to be a block away like it seemed in her head. And if it existed it would be like, cities away. She refused to listen and told me to drive up the street so she could see her for herself, as she was certain it would be just a block over. Spoiler alert it wasn't...
"huh... this doesn't make any sense" <--- her
So she absolutely insisted I pull over so she could call and get directions. I did it to keep her quiet. She was on hold for what seemed like 30 minutes, and you probably guessed it, the address we were looking for was 2079.
Also earlier in the day she had me read her credit card info so she could type it in.
"expiration?"
"10/25"
"is that 2025?"
I thought she was joking around, then I realized she was serious and I literally was unable to respond. Maybe she thought it could be 2125 and the card has a fucking 103 year expiration I dunno I didn't ask.
I know I have a lot of WTF dumb thought moments, at least it wasn't me for once lol.
