It's minor inconvenience but not a dealbreaker. I can install TWS on my wife's MacBook Air if I want. She's still on Big Sur. I also have Windows desktop so I could install TWS on as well. But I'm just going to wait and see if they fix the incompatibility bug with Monterey. Until then I can use the IB iOS app on my iPhone and iPad Pro. It's not as robust in features as TWS but it's more than sufficient.Nice of them to tell you AFTER the fact!
Hopefully you have another computer available till its fixed.
EDIT: Apparently it is possible to "downgrade" to Big Sur but its kind of a PITA since you have to wipe and do a clean install.

Lesson learned. But I wouldn't have upgraded during the middle of the trading day if constant uninterrupted access was critical. It's not critical app.

The joy of being a beta tester. 
We're getting Windows 10 at work, Not a fan of it, though I did not get to experience it for very long since there is a driver issue and the whole machine crashes randomly so I'm back on my win7 machine for now.
The thing I find annoying about windows 10 is how everything is so BIG. Dialog boxes, title bars, GUI elements as a whole etc. Like just the display settings for example take up the entire real estate of a HD monitor and even then you have to scroll to see everything. It's just so inefficient use of space. And icons too. I was able to play with scaling to get things to be a bit better but still not as good as win7. Good thing the other 3 monitors are 4k, but with everything being so big it feels like I still lose out on lot of space. Title bars etc waste lot of space due to their large size.
The other thing I find annoying is how there is no concept of minimized applications and individual window instances of the same app (ex: browser). When you minimize something, it just goes into some kind of abyss and combines with something else. Very hard to get a specific window back if you minimize it.

You can change the behavior of the task bar to show each instance separately. Off click on the taskbar and select taskbar settings.The joy of being a beta tester.

I'll have to check for that when I get the machine back, didn't get a chance to play too much with the settings in the time I had it.

The main thing with Win 10 is to take the time to turn everything off. The amount of spyware BS is incredible so you have to go through the settings carefully. Turn off everything you can having to do with Cortana. MS won't let you completely disable it but you can limit its intrusion.

I imagine lot of that stuff might also be locked down by GPOs so I may not have access, but yeah if I was using it for personal use I'd probably be blocking Microsoft's IPs right at the firewall lol. Probably lot of 3rd party programs you can install to make it better I imagine.

I like using a utility called Start-10 to tweak things to my exact preferences too.... well worth the $5 investment IMO although with 10 its not as important as it used to be since they fixed a lot of stuff.
Start-11 on the other hand is ESSENTIAL. (dual-booting 11 Pro/10 Pro)

Realized the new Christmas lights sets I bought were not quite long enough to do the whole front of the house so had to drive to Canadian Tire to get another set. So I do that and then I get home and start installing them and out of nowhere this sort of random hail and wind starts and I'm getting plummeted in the face by ice pelets but I just want to get it done at this point so I keep doing it, it's not a huge job anyway. I finish up and put the ladder away, and head inside, and the hail immediately stops.

I have a trail camera setup on a spring. There isn't much to tie it to so I strapped it to a bush. Yesterday and last night we had strong winds. Now I have over seven thousand photos of wind shake.

FunBoy was posting something similar, recently. He upgraded to Win11, and some of his games were crashing, when hooked up to a reciever with HDMI.

odds are, your Win7 machine will...have issues with Win11.
