Got a rechargeable lighted collar for my dog. Same one I saw at REI but that one used batteries. It was a cheap china product from Amazon.

The collar works really well actually - the light is even and bright. Except the charger is mini USB. Seriously? They included one in the package, but now I gotta keep track of the damn thing.

I'm just about to where everything of mine is USB C. The only things I have that are still micro USB are my bike lights.

Mini USB. Sheesh.

Last year I had a Christmas light strand on the house that started acting wonky. When I put them away I knew I'd have to look at it this year. I went to do just that, hoping it was just the fuse. Fuse is fine. It does not light up at all. I checked the other set, that one magically died too. I paid good money for these sets a few years ago hoping they would last. I hate how most Christmas light sets are such junk now. b Not designed at all to be repaired either, can't even change the bulbs.

Seems if you want a good quality product these days you need to make it yourself. I do want to experiment with 3D printing and injection molding at some point.

i think for xmass lights are maybe the only product where you want to have it as much enclosed and therefor irrepairable. Well the exterior ones anyway. I had some sets over the years and had 50/50 luck. Some last 5 years without a single bulb lost, some had little damage (block of 10 gone, but rest work), some burned down with half of the tree...

The Hospital was supposed to have Home Health care send a nurse to remove my chemo infusion pump on Saturday, no one showed up.

Had to do it myself.

10ml saline followed by 5ml heparin (to prevent the plastic tube in chest vein from clotting up) then pull the needle from my chest port. Oddly pulling the needle didn't pinch like when the nurses do it? I think they might be evil sadists.

Leadership That Inspires!

A week ago Friday I was informed that a new project was coming my way. I had a project name and location but that was it for details. I and several other folks in my office were to drop everything and attend a three day class held last week to come up to speed on the fundamentals of what the project would involve. The class was generic, not specific to the project. This afternoon we had the project kickoff meeting where we were informed that 1) the project was critical to the company, 2) the deadlines were hard, no schedule changes would be contemplated, and 3) the project was already six weeks behind schedule. There is a sub-contractor involved, negotiating the contract took longer than expected, and no one thought to update the hard dates in the contract to account for the delay in signing. During the kickoff meeting, upper management all but openly blamed us for the delays in the project we didn't even know existed. I was so inspired that half way through the meeting I did dishes and fed the cats.

So what is the project?

Do we work for the same place?
I got taken off a job to do another "hot" job about a week ago. OK, whatever. So the guy that gets it after me asks the other day when it due. Told him i have no idea, i don't even bother looking anymore.
He looks at the paperwork and says it's was due end of September. So now i'm curious & look and see the material came into the shop the middle of June. So for 4-1/2 months it sat around without being worked on. Now it's "oh my god we gotta get these outta here".
The job i set aside to work on this one was due in August or September. Unfortunately this has become the norm for us.

My fucking idiot neighbors called the police earlier tonight for no reason. There was a door to door salesperson knocking on doors in our building. I heard the salesperson knock on a couple doors upstairs above me (same pattern knock at two different doors on the floor above me) and then I saw the salesperson in the hallway a moment later when I walked out of my unit into the hallway to my mailbox. I figured he was either a realtor or a sales person since he was dressed well and carrying a clipboard. I didn't really care either way. I said hello how's it going. He was pleasant and said hi back to me and then finished his knocking on the last door of our building and left the building.

A few minutes later I went outside and there is a police car outside my building and my upstairs neighbor is frantically telling the police officer that someone was "in the building knocking on doors trying to break into my unit." The cop is not buying any of it. As I walked outside my neighbor points to me and tells the cop "Ask him! He probably saw something!" The cop asks me if I saw anyone suspicious in the building and I said no. I then said I saw a salesperson knocking on doors and that was it. Cop turns to my neighbor and says "you probably saw a salesperson." My neighbor continues to insist that someone was trying to break into his unit. Then my neighbors wife opens the window of their unit and yells down "No, someone was knocking on our door trying to break in." Cop looks annoyed to hell and back and just turns back toward his cruiser, gets in, and leaves. Meanwhile all I can think about is the actual crime happening in our neighborhood and here we are wasting police resources calling the cops on salespeople.

Lol speaking of sales people some lady came to my door the other day trying to sell chocolate bars for like 20 bucks. I declined, at that price.

Turns out she's scouting houses for children to use for sex trafficking. If only I had known before I would have tried to hold her up while I call the cops. I could probably break out my change bin and try to pay for it using dimes and nickels lol.

The US Treasury limits each social security number to maximum $10,000 series-i savings bonds each year. What is one to do with all the extra ten thousands lying around? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well, shit, what has been seen...the 1st is a bookmatch from a piece of black cherry from my Grand Ma's yard. Kind of looked like "the scream" so I finished it and hung(sideways) it in my shop cause the Boss wasn't having it in the house.

Well, I must be on Boomers level of degenerate, I glance up and see a nekked geriatric. 🙄😞🙄😞
Guess I need to donate it my Ma's nursing home. 😀

The last one, the Grinch. 100%😀

And my LG won't recognize my left fingerprint but the right is good. Deleted both and started over..same. Tried the face recognition, works. Tried the voice, "speak softer." Damn, woman, if I was softer, I couldn't find it to piss.

Technology..

Woke up 2 days ago with a runny nose. Worked through the day just fine, it wasn't that bad. Yesterday I went to work and couldn't go 3 minutes without blowing my nose or sneezing. I wear a mask or respirator all day so it made it impossible to work. I was either sneezing or trying to get a mask off so snot wasn't running into my mouth. I left after 3.5 hours. I was sick today.

Today was a holiday so if I chose to work it was double time. I usually work 48 hours a week so I get 8 hours of time and a half..

If I'm sick tomorrow I basically lost my rent.
