Fuck me. The Drive cage is right on my table, under a cardboard box...

when I built my Ryzen 3700X I reused an old case. So I took out the 3.5" drive cages and put them somewhere, thinking I would not need them. FF to today I need to mount a SATA SSD and I cannot find the drive cages... So, I use a adapter to convert the ssd to 3.5" size, then another one to 5.25", then install quick release rails on that. But the 3.5" to 5.25" adapter prevents me from using the cable from the psu to connect power because it is a right angle plug and well, that was not going to work. So I had to find a sata power extender cable that is straight.
Yes, I had all those adapters, cables and screws but it was a pain. I just know I'll run into the drive cage in a few days.

Lol! I actually did that on a rig a few years ago. Didn’t have a 3.5 to 2.5 adapter on hand. Two short strips and the drive was immovable! Oh, about a month later I found an adapter sitting on a table amongst other miscellaneous computer parts. Double plus oh, it had an ssd in it with the same capacity in it!For next time. With no moving parts SATA SSD's are not fragile and don't really require special mounting brackets.

Tape does not dissipate heat![]()
Sure it does; it just has really, really bad thermal conductivity. Foam tape, on the other hand, is an thermal insulator, so...Tape does not dissipate heat![]()
Ugh, only 80m. I do live about a kilometer from the Merrimack river. Basically a valley made by the glaciers when they retreated. I also live 35 miles from the sea - so I think I’m safe.Is that a bad thing?
I'm 157m...good enough.
Job security? The fuse that feeds my neighborhood has a tendency of blowing often, I think it's like clockwork even for the hydro crews now. Th

ATT is giving 350 down/up connected but their wireless modem sucks. Looking for suggestions. The house footprint is only 1450sqft. The netgear range extenders cut those numbers by 3/4.Getting aggravated. I have upgraded my network to 802.11ax (WiFi 6) for my router and our two main desktops. I just noticed that file transfers to my backup server max out at 800mbps and average about 650mbps. So, a few hundred $$s gains me slower performance than my old 802.11ac setup (peak transfer rate of about ~900mbps). Waste of money. Now I just want to rewire the house with 10GBE:

Probably want to post here: https://forums.anandtech.com/forums/networking.12/ATT is giving 350 down/up connected but their wireless modem sucks. Looking for suggestions. The house footprint is only 1450sqft. The netgear range extenders cut those numbers by 3/4.
Edit tp-link.
I'd say Costco is to blame, not the people going through with full carts. Other stores would rather people with full carts use the self checkouts so they can cut staff. There is no sign there saying you can only go with x amount of items or less.
I agree, Costco should have a sign about the 20 item limit. But it's also common sense to see how little space there are to put items and realize that it's a bitch, and much more prone to error, to scan a ton of shit when it's piled on top of itself in a cart.I'd say Costco is to blame, not the people going through with full carts. Common sense! I don’t think that is 'common' anymore. When I was growing up, it seemed like all the adults had common sense. Nowadays, meh. I won’t even shop with my wife at Walmart anymore - it’s like a zoo for people with low IQs.I agree, Costco should have a sign about the 20 item limit. ** Stupid idjut, 900mbps was when I had it wired. I thought that WiFi 6 could do a max of 1.2gbps per stream up to two streams. Turns out, none of the consumer models can hit those speeds. Max is about 950mbps for the fastest (and very expensive) models.
