VarietuWent to pickup chicken strips from Costco. It was on sale but the only varietu they had was Whole Wheat. Like I care about the breading being whole wheat...
I ordered some In ear monitors on the 5th. They were coming from NJ to WA state. I just looked and they are in MN....It says fedex but I think they sent my shit by wagon train..
I knew my luck with craigslist/facebook marketplace buyers doing local pickup would run out soon enough. I'm selling something and 3 hours ago a buyer agrees to meet at the library 5 mins from my house. We texted back and forth a few times so they were definitely interested and not just kicking tires. I text them 5 minutes before the time that I'll be there in a few just in case they are running late or changed their mind. Nope... they tell me 2 minutes PAST our meet time "oh sorry I can't make it." I ask "you couldn't tell me this earlier?" and of course get no reply.
I just want to punch people in the face. Thankfully this wasn't a big inconvenience for me. Next time, I'll just wait for a reply to even leave the house.
While we're on this topic - why do people ask "Is this still available" and I instantly reply yes, only to never hear from them again? That's a whole other level of tire kicking - and they can F off.
I've inquired about items a couple times, and never heard back. One time the dumb fuck relisted with a lower price, so it was still available when I asked. I look at craigslist every so often, but I have little inclination to deal with idiots. It would take something really amazing to get me to make an attempt. While we're on this topic - why do people ask "Is this still available" and I instantly reply yes, only to never hear from them again? My FWP... I've been down to two cats that I feed outside, and one of them went AWOL a week or so ago. He wasn't friendly at all, and was afraid of everything, but I liked seeing him showup at my backdoor. Spot still comes which is good. She's friendly when she thinks she might get food, but she usually runs if I call her at non feeding time.
Since we don't do direct deposit at work i go cash my paycheck each Friday. It's a very simple slip to fill out. List each check(if more than 1), total them up, write in any cash back i want & the total deposit. Seems pretty straightforward to me(and has been for years).
Over the the last 1-2 months though the teller always asks me what i want done. "Are we depositing the whole check?" even if there is a cash amount i want back, or "ok, so you want to deposit the check & some cash back, how much do you want back?"
Then i tell them slowly..."just like it's written on the slip, x amount of cash back & deposit the rest". It's not that hard people!
Probably some stupid rule they have now that they have to ask, because...
Happened again... someone got passive aggressive on me for not saying anything back when they said hello while walking.

When we bought our house almost 3 years ago, one of the small "picture windows" (~30 x60) had a very tiny chip in it...and it penetrated the pane...so the window had lost its vapor seal. I FINALLY called the local glass guy to replace it. He came out over a month ago to measure it, called this morning to make arrangement to come install the unit. ( not replacing the entire window, just the sealed unit)
For some reason, the replacement was 1/16 too thick...so...he reinstalls the old window...and breaks the outer pane that had the tiny chip.
Gonna be at least a week before he can get a replacement from the glass/window company.
I would love if the coyotes would also eat the poop the outdoor cats leave on my lawn too.Around here, outside cats go AWOL all the time...the coyotes get them.
Maybe it's time for pay cheques to start keeping up with inflation and for companies to pay more. Lack of employees seems to be a trend. Even lot of fast food workers are throwing in the towel and quitting. I think covid layoffs gave lot of people time to reflect on their lives and they decided not to try to find more work again. Especially having to start over from the bottom.
Even when not giving back smile
So…So I found CenturyLink’s number and called. After the third or fourth stupid question from the automated voice menu I tried “technician” and it worked. The technician was fairly with it but not used to the idea of physical line problems so he had to run through a laundry list of tests before, forty-five minutes later, concluding that the problem was the physical line. The line was installed when Lyndon Johnson was President. After that, setting up the service visit was straight forward. Then an hour after the visit was scheduled, CenturyLink’s automated system sent a text telling me that all was resolved and that the ticket would be closed unless I told them to leave it open. Glancing up at the modem told me that the automated system is full of shit so I kept the appointment. The system warned me that they would bill me if nothing was really wrong. I’ll take the risk. The issue is that we have bonded two line DSL and one of the two lines is dead.
