It's crossed my mind. He's a miserable little kitty atm. Never sure how to approach it. I wish I could ask him. I keep hoping for the miracle turnaround, but that's likely to go as well as wishing Santa would stop at my house on Christmas. The reality is cats probably don't care, and keeping him going is selfish on my part. I'm kind of treating him the way I'd want myself treated. eg, Do what you can, but don't spend a lot of money, and when enough's enough, I want out. Is it enough yet? That's the million dollar question.

Sorry to hear of your loss. :(

I ran into something like this a few months ago. My kitty got very sick, and nothing was helping. We knew he was dying, and I took him in with every intention of being put down since I didn't want to watch him struggle. He wasn't ready, and he let me know in his own way. I took him, home, and a week and a half later, he let me know he was ready. I literally dropped everything i had been doing and took him in. Sometimes they tell you, in their own way.

I am also very cautious of waiting too long. Another kitty I had before him got sick and we thought it was just constipation, which she did have, but that turned out to not be the main issue (and yes, she did see a vet). She was in heart failure, and I realized it was more than just being backed up one evening when I noticed she was breathing a bit harder than usual. She seemed OK otherwise, and I got her to eat. She seemed to be comfortable. My plan was to take her to the vet in the morning. When i woke up, she was struggling to breathe, and it was horrible. She died about 10 minutes later, and it was a hard death. Had I known, I'd have spared her that, and it haunts me to this day. I vowed never to let something like that happen again, and when her sibling presented with the same symptoms some years later, I didn't hesitate. I took him in on an emergency after hours basis.

RIP Kitty :cryingcat:

My FWP is that I seem to be in "expired products" nightmare (lol, hyperbolic word on purpose here). First it was milk: one that was over the "best by" date by two fricking days and the other jug by *that day*: and they both were spoiled and smelt like roasted feces. That happened a couple/few weeks ago. Yesterday it was a Cracker Barrel snack thing that had a date in June on it, but I opened it up (it did seem to be sealed correctly) and the cheese dip had mold in it and it was spoiled. WTF DAWG. I was thinking there was maybe another instance too but maybe not.

Winter came back, as expected. It seems we get one nice day, followed by more snow. To be fair, it seems the snow is melting at a faster rate than what we are getting more at, so it will eventually be gone. I was able to uncover one of the extension cords and a bridge rectifier box for my Christmas lights today. Might be able to put away the rest of the decorations soon as the cords will be accessible so I can unplug them.

Today I heard the doorbell ring at work. I was like 200 feet away and went to answer and saw my helper talking to a truck driver. As I gt closer I heard my helper tell the guy he was at the wrong address. I grabbed the invoice and the guy was just at the wrong door.

Mind you. This is the same guy that right after the company sent him to me called me.

Him " The doorbell is ringing, what should I do?"

Me " Answer it?"

Me CLICK!

I think I just royally fucked up my work computer. I tried to update Firefox since it was super old and some stuff was starting to act funny. The update broke more than it fixed so decided to roll back. Now I lost all my bookmarks, and it won't let me restore the backup file. FUCK. I'm so screwed. I have close to 10 years of accumulated bookmarks. I don't even know where to start without them. At least the .json file is somewhat human readable... but having to manually import each and everyone is going to take so long... what a pain I should have left things alone or imaged my machine first.

wanted to replace the battery for my Honor 8. Bought a battery on ebay for Honor P8... not worth the trouble to try to return it.

Toppers has this new pickle pizza, it's freaking amazing. Yeah, pickle, on pizza, sounds weird right? It's totally awesome.

So I ordered one yesterday, and didn't bring anything to eat at work today figuring I'd eat the left overs. The issue is that the crust they use totally does not microwave well, like at all. It was just not edible. Like trying to eat wet cardboard. Threw it out.

Now I need to figure out what to eat when practically everything is closed. Some restaurants are open, but I don't really want a full blown restaurant meal, I'll be eating Easter dinner at my parent's after my shift.

Some pizza places are open but I don't really want to order another pizza... even though that's what I was going to eat anyway. lol.

Yeah talk about a 1st world problem or what.

Ended up ordering a Dominos pasta.

I really need to start meal prepping more though so I can stop ordering so much when I work. I do meal prep to some extent but just need to come up with more meal ideas.

Changed the oil in the truck today. Of course I got oil all over me cause the design engineer was an inbred asshole, and never looked at the design after sketching on the back of a gum wrapper. Also changed the oil in the mower. That went very well, but that meant I had to make the grass shorter afterward. Done. Only ~25 more times left :'^(

A sysadmin was dinking with Cpanel and managed to break an environmental variable forcing thousands of employees to have to reset their google apps passwords, a ridiculously complex process. The person responsible tried to rollback the change but the damage was done. The only upside is that the person sent out an alert using his own email address instead of the help desk address so he got all the help requests. :)

I went to Shopper's Drug Mart today to send in an Amazon return (they have Canada Post in there too) and saw a sign saying they will now close at midnight. No more 24/7. :( It's the only store I could count on if I needed anything past midnight.

Finally had to turn on my AC yesterday for the first time this year. The temperature had crept up to 78 Freedom Degrees inside and sitting in nothing but shorts sweating was no longer an option.

I almost contemplated turning on the AC the other day too after a walk since I was hot and sweaty, but but opening windows and using fans still working ok.

Fucking imbeciles can't recognize satire produced by allied nations during the most important war since damn near ever. One day, a strong country's gonna rise, and they'll take over the world while everyone else is arguing about how their feels got hurt. Ironic...

I absolutely hate censorship on the internet these days. If it's not copyright BS related, it's because it offends someone. Not entirely Youtube's fault, but all the stupid laws that force them to do this stuff.

This isn't a twp now but it would have been one in 1987. And since all of time exists in the same moment, I'm going to say it qualifies.

I had CD in my car that has probably been languishing in there for years. Unlabeled. Put it in and it was all Sisters of Mercy tunes I'd pirated. Since I had no interest in trying to recreate the disc and I'm not even sure I could still find all of the songs on the 40Tb array, I couldn't decide what to do. I really like SoM, but do 'like' like them.

Then I remembered I had one of those devices that resurfaces cd's. I was also able to find it which by itself is amazing. I ran it through once. No luck. So I did it a half dozen more times. Perfect.
