Seems to work for me, but was glitchy. Probably updating NSA code in prod instead of testing it on dev.
Bought a townhouse for a rental to list on VRBO last Sept. So far it's been decent but today, the (sales) tax man has just about pissed me off. It's passed onto the renter, 6% state, 2% county, 1% city. My cpa just told me the city also has a additional 3% accommodations tax on short term rentals. WTF? Billing a renter 12% for tax? A friend of mine is over the finance dept so I called him and confirmed. Told him that the city/county/state were about to be getting ZERO because I might turn it into a 6 month/yearly rental.
Worse than loan sharks.
<---- The picture of innocence so it must be someone else.Aren't you a loan shark or am I thinking of someone else?

Might have to take back the bad things I said about them. Got a quick reply through the amazon contact seller form. They said the listing was for 6 files, but that it didn't come with a handle, and shouldn't have been listed as such. Offered a full refund, and I keep the 6 files. Assuming I do get my account credited, it's hard to complain about that service.Ordered some chainsaw files from Amazon, and I got half the files I thought I was gonna get, and didn't get the handle I know I was supposed to get. The count may be a case of me being stupid. I was looking at several listings, and may have gotten them confused. The price was on par for 12 files. A bit cheaper than some other sellers, but on par with what I can get elsewhere. I definitely should have gotten a handle though, and that didn't come. I'll eat the cost as part of a stupid tax, but I at least want all the stuff I'm supposed to get.
I don't know how to view a product's edit history, or if I even can. I need to start taking screenshots I guess. Should have known better. They advertised significantly as being a conservative Christian company. That's usually the cue to bring your vaseline. I balked a bit when I read that. I don't want to support religion in any way whatsoever, but I figured it's a free country, and business is business. When someone's eager to tell you how religious they are, you're probably gonna get fucked. Just another bit of evidence to add to my bag, and I'll need to reflect on how I conduct business going forward.

VRBO doesn't send 1099s so I could have tried to avoid all of it. Never try and get ahead....It pisses me off how everywhere you turn in life the government has some other trick up their sleeve to try to tax us even more. Is taking 33% of our income already not enough, and taking 15% of all our purchases not already enough, and taking like 5-10k per year from us just for owning land not enough? Apparently not they find all sorts of other ways to tax us again on top of all that. About 60% of the money you make ends up in taxes, it's crazy. And most of it gets wasted on super stupid crap. IMO they should have 40-50% income tax, and that's it. It should be the absolutely only tax we pay. The money would get spread out to the various tiers of government. Municipal, Provincial, and Federal, and each tier would then spread it to the right budgets accordingly. They should have to budget their costs on a fixed income just like we have to budget our costs on a fixed income.

Except for single losers like myself, I pay under $50/month (employer-sponsored).Well you guys do have "free" healthcare.Families pay something like $500-$1k a month for healthcare here. But your numbers are pretty hefty even when you compare it to high-tax states like NY.
