NetBeans doesn't do "-Xlint:unchecked" by default, so I got a B- on a damn-near perfect programming assignment due to compiler warnings I didn't know about.

Took me all of 3 minutes to fix, too. Fuck.

Helping a carpenter set nailers on a barn roof at my boss' farm. Not really what I wanted to do today. I could be home breaking wood :^/

I want to take a shower and go to bed, but the cat's avoiding me cause she doesn't want her medicine. I tried fresh water, and treat food, but that hasn't drawn her out. PITA...

Finally! Shower time. Curiosity got the better of her. Bed here I come! Working on the roof kicked my ass today.

I literally have nothing to look forward to.

Found out I'm allergic to cats and dogs.
Absolutely no video games are of any interest to me (Forza Horizon 4 just came out and it sucks and I'm already fed up with it)
My favorite shows have all been going to shit. Brooklyn Nine Nine is starting late this season. I finished Daredevil in 3 nights.
After Infinity War I no longer look forward to anything in the cinema. I sure as hell aint holding my breath over no damn Star Wars films.

Thought Brooklin nine nine was cancelled?

I hate how the days are so short now that it's winter. Also I keep getting hardly no time off, because of the way the scheduling at work ends up. Downside of working less nights. When I was on nights, because nights are always 12h shifts, I get more time off now they keep putting me on 8h shifts so I work more. I decided to try soldering big cables together for a project because I just want to get it done but everything that could go wrong went wrong. The solder I ordered is the wrong type, it has too high of a lead content and would not melt properly. Heat gun blew up on me, so switched to torch. Even torch was not getting hot enough to solder. So now I need to rethink how I'm going to splice these wires together. I just don't have enough time off lately so everything is always a rush and that's when things go wrong. I might just order the stuff needed to crimp my own solar cables and just cut my losses and redo this from scratch. Basically the premade cables I ordered were too short so just trying to extend them. Thick gauge wiring is a pain to work with.

I think I've inhaled too much lead for today.

You should watch Better Call Saul, Bates Motel, Breaking Bad (before Better Call Saul), The Americans, Fargo, and The Handmaid's Tale (though that one is pretty slow).

Ray Donovan, season 6 starts the 28th. The gang moves to New York City. The first episode was released online, and it was pretty damned good.

Berlin Station, season 3 begins December 3rd.

Taboo, second season will start in January. I'm really looking forward to this. Tom Hardy as James Delaney is freaking intense.

Black Jesus, season 3 should be returning soon, probably early 2019. After a long absence, sans Charlie Murphy, RIP.

And a recent discovery, Get Shorty, just finished up its second season. Great show if you like black comedy. I can honestly say I never would have guessed I'd laugh out loud seeing a woman get shot point blank in the face, but I was doubled over. The balance of serious and comedy in this one is really done well.

I have so many duplicates of the same tool. I can't wait to finish my garage so I can have a single ORGANIZED central location for all my tools, and a place to actually use them in. Right now some of them are in the basement some are in the shed, some are in the garage... royal pain. The nice thing about duplicates is some will be able to stay in the house. I own at least 20 screw driver sets yet only 1 of each screwdriver. I don't know how that ends up happening.

I thought my neighbors finally got the point about their extreme noise, but I'm back to living inside a speaker. Two more weeks until I move.

Effing fan in my desk top is whining.

Eff me.

Simple life.

@Red Squirrel

Alright, just messing with you. My FIL had multiples of multiples of tools. Couldn't find jack when he wanted it. Organization is not in the family genes. :rolleyes;^12 Maybe even ^16

The wife is blessed with many talents. Details aren't one. Putting up with me is a bonus though.

Sitting in a meeting (well, it's a call-in one) that's been billed as a "meet and greet" with the new big dog CIO. Except... we already did this when he visited our office a few weeks ago. Him and the head of my department are in one of our other locations though and he's meeting them. Ugh. Like I have no other work to do.

OT is work, right?

😛

Went to the sewage plant to do a bit of birding. The place was full of little shits, a class field trip. While I wholly approve of taking kids on a fieldtrip to the poop ponds, I see no reason for the fieldtrip to occur while I'm there. Get off my clarifier.

I didn't know poop plants were a good place to see birds.
In the desert, they are some of the few places that have water year-round so they attract lots of birds.
