Another FWP: Suppose to snow tonight. Though I don't know if it's really a problem after that crazy hot summer we had. I always kind of look forward to snow at this time, I'm just tired of it by March. :p

We have these amazing gas stations in CT called Cumberland Farms, which are like really nice mini marts with actual good food, in addition to fuel (not sure if all of them are really nice inside, but all of the ones I've been too are super-clean & have great deals on food).

I got some sandwiches (because I didn't do meal prep, wah) & some snacks for the day. Bought myself a yogurt thinking I was going to eat healthy. Preeeeeetty sure it's just pie filling on the bottom & a crumbled-up granola bar on top lol.

We've got lots of those in MA too. Some of the cheapest gas around, but I've never went inside for anything.

I'm kinda worried about Minime. Last time I saw her, Mom hissed at her, and she hasn't been around for a couple days. The antagonistic behavior started after she weirded out on me one morning during food time. A couple months ago, her and Fathead were just about inseparable. Now, she seems to have been kicked from the group. She was my least favorite cat, but I got used to seeing her around. Hope she makes out ok.

I wish I understood them better. The social dynamic is probably pretty fascinating if I could only discern what it is.

Anyone use Gmail? Looks like they finally pushed out the new look and you can't go back to the old version. It's awful.

Had a flat tire today; Finishing nail stuck in the tire, and 0 pounds of pressure read on my gauge. I plugged it on site, and then had to pump the tire with the hand pump I keep in the truck. That's a real workout. Back when I used to work with a partner, I could get it to full pressure switching between us for breaks. I got about 26# in the tire, and called it good enough to get me back to the office where I used my compressor. Plug seems to be holding good, so I guess it could be worse.

Roomba is actually not bad. I have one in my basement.

It gets stuck occasionally but it's not a big deal. The only problem is that it fills up with cat hair so damn fast.

Goddamn acne and I'm 35 years old. I've tried all the main acne medications (benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, about 2 months into trying Differin gel now) and a bunch of their compositions (i.e. ProActiv, off-brand, Oxy, etc) and honestly, I've found that wiping my greasy ass face several times a day with a paper towel helps to fight it better than any medicine does. My upper back is only clear now because I also wipe it; using just medicine it doesn't really do much to it.

I've recently considered that maybe it's my diet but I don't really know if that's true. I guess I could cut sugars or something, but no sugars would be a pain in the ass.

I've had acne since high school and it's worse now than it was when I was 18. And I don't remember it being that bad after high school and up to say 30 years old. I dunno.

I do eat a lot of processed and fast food now, more than probably at any point in my life. When I lived with my parents I had home cooked meals often but I don't cook shit now cause I'm only one person and I'm lazy.

You could give carbolic soap a try...

https://www.amazon.com/Carbolic-Ger...&qid=1538082070&sr=8-5&keywords=carbolic+soap

I don't get acne, but I go through periods of feeling greasy, especially in the summer, and this seems to dry me out. In fact, it's fairly harsh, and has a very distinctive smell, though I wouldn't call it bad. I believe it used to be used in hospitals for hand washing but was switched out due to the harshness. Was popular in the US under the name Life Buoy. Cheap enough to try :shrugs:

edit:
btw, I specifically recommend the brand I linked. It's the only one I've really used, but seems to be the real deal. Reading around, it sounds like Life Buoy only smells like carbolic soap, but has little to no carbolic acid in it.

I had a flat yesterday as well. I switched to my spare wheel. Not sure if the tire is salvageable yet. First time I've ever been stuck somewhere with a flat, and forced to change wheels on the spot. Usually it's gradual air loss so I can pump up and drive off. I have a portable air compressor for such purposes.

I've used 12v pumps in the past, but I can't depend on them. I've had about 4, and burned every one up, with the worst only filling one tire for me. Hand pumping sucks, but the mechanism is simple and robust, so I can depend on it to work. I have a ~25 year old Taiwanese model from WesternAuto. I had to replace the T handle with a piece of wood, and I'm on my fourth hose(recovered from dead electrics), but it always works.

I need to make a doctor appointment but I keep having to work during the week like a peasant. Next schedule will be better and I'll actually have days off in the week. My finger has been sore for a few months. I'm scared it might be something bad like arthritis. If it's that it means it will only get worse and spread to all the other joints. I really hope it's not that. Hoping maybe I just fractured it somehow and don't remember. Like maybe I hit it hard enough with the hammer one time, and forgot about it because it stopped hurting and then it's only coming back now. I really hope it's just that. I have a bad feeling though, because of where it hurts. It's at the knuckle and all my searches seem to indicate arthritis. If it was hammer related it would be the tip or the finger itself.
