That's why I went to community college, was no more than like 3-4k per year.
He could go to the local uni for just about free. It would be nice if he had a direction but I'm 54 and don't know what I want to do when I grow up.

Just applied to Hillsdale for him. Michigan winters....:D:D

At work I'm the only person in my department that takes the time to set up the Christmas tree, even though everyone always loves it. This year I decided to just keep it up (and decorated) and shove it in a corner. It's so much easier.

Like the Solder sucker, I had one of those and of course the soldering iron.

A big client of ours went tits up. Aside from owing us tens of thousands of dollars, it's gonna severely affect my access to treasure boxes :^(

Along the line of guns don’t kill people, people kill people.
Pants don’t make ass look fat, fat ass make ass look fat.

Hope you bought a nice comfortable couch.

I'm always tired and just want to sleep when I get home from work. Partly due to me being a complete moron and going to bed too late, because I stay up doing important things. Like watching YouTube videos or movies. Because I can't go to bed at a normal time because I'd feel like I didn't have enough relaxation time at the end of the day. Because 2-3 hours isn't enough. Because reasons. FML

I feel like bitching some more. Three people in my office are coughing, regularly. One of them is particularly bad and has been for several days. Of course she doesn't cover her mouth or turn and cough into her shoulder area (the best way IMO). It sounds like she might have AIDS or ebola mixed with diabeetus. She definitely shouldn't take a day or two off either, she needs to be here cause she's a manager that sits on the phone 85% of the day and does nothing. Critical for day-to-day operations, fo shizzle.

Thankfully the other two people don't seem to be as bad actually. Though I'm pretty sure no one is covering their mouth. Need a face mask up in this joint. :mask:

Showed a home improvement store the toilet seat I wanted and that their website said the store has stock but not on the shelf.

I did get the toilet seat, but now when I am not on my lan, I see toilet seat ad from that store in atot.

The IT folks were tweaking the QoS settings to give greater preference to GIS traffic (needed) and totally hosed the IP phones. :D I thought the benefits of having no phones outweighed the downside but managers had other thoughts so the phones are working again. :(

Somebody was doing it wrong.

You have no idea how much you question has triggered me. We used to house all data locally and it worked fast. Now we house data at the corporate datoplex and everything is slow, so slow, so terribly slow. And the nerds decide to rearrange the directories for no discernible reason.

Had fucked up dreams last night. Can't remember the first, but the second one I had to go to "sensitivity training" at work, which was a larger company than I work for. First we had to clear some cedars in the way of the meeting(cause that kind of shit's plausible in a dream), and putting the brush hook back in the bin was a pita. My girlfriend(WTF is that?!) was calling, and asking where I was cause the meeting was after work, and I wasn't home. After getting the cedars cleared, I get to the meeting area, and it's over. I wasted my time, and nothing was accomplished. Those are the worst dreams. Not fun, not scary, not interesting. Just banal and irritating. Like real life with a dash of surrealism.

Oh, and Mom's full of kittens again. I don't even know where the last batch went. They just disappeared :^/

Reminds me when they shut down the local exchange server and moved everything to the corporate HQ. Every couple years they kept doing weird stuff with mail, like migrations and stuff, I don't even know what they were doing anymore. The data was already migrated why migrate it again. In the whole process our email just started getting slower and slower and more flaky. Sometimes could not even access it or you'd have Outlook open and not realize it's not even updating anything anymore. Super flaky. It's finally working ok now but for the longest time it was brutal. Kept prompting for passwords and doing lot of annoying crap too, and it was just so slow.
