I've never been drunk, but probably borderline. After 2-3 glasses of wine I start to feel super mellow. Then I sleep like a rock and wake up feeling awesome.
 
Today was pretty quiet, but yesterday...OMG! I took my oldest grandson to Social Security to get his account straightened out...for some reason, he had two SS numbers...then, to add insult to injury, took him to the Dept. of Licensing (DMV) to apply for a state ID until he’s ready for a driver’s license. Other than a brief wait for our turn, (apparently the fools didn’t realize who I am...) ;p we were served relatively quickly, were treated professionally and courteously, and got everything done in one visit to each. <knock on wood>

My mother had to go to the office to get some bullshit straightened out. It took several trips and she spent a lot of time waiting in that giant smelly room.

When I went with her on the last trip I took advantage of the opportunity to sit in front of them. Asked if my SS was in line. They said everythings good and I had no issues. Was glad to hear it.
Of course, they still have 30 years to fuck up in some manner and screw me over.

Never filled out a deposit slip in my life. I've always belonged to a credit union that didn't engage in insanity. You go in, deal with money, and get a receipt for what happened. I'm not even sure why deposit slips are a thing. I guess it's to screw people $6 at a time :^D

Half of my customers pay with check or money order. The big bad gubment wom't let me go in and cash them. They're afraid I might under report my income or some silly BS. Gotta deposit 1st.

The way that would work at the CU is hand them some checks for deposit, and they give you a receipt for total. Not sure what writing something down first gets you aside from added costs of procuring deposit slips, and wasting the customer's time.
 
Got home from night shift this morning and the snow plow went by so I could not get in my driveway. So I parked on the street. At 10am when I'm just about to fall asleep I get a knock on the door. Cop. Had to move the car since they were going to do snow removal. At least the cop was nice enough to tell me, instead of just getting it towed and getting a fine. So that forced me to get dressed and snow blow my driveway so I can get the car in. By the time I went back to bed it was past 11:00am and probably closer to 12 by the time I feel asleep. Needless to say I did not really get a good sleep. Going to be a long night. 😱
 
My toilet seat broke right off the hinges. I had to poop before I got a chance to go buy another one, so had to go poop at church. Failing that I could also go poop at a telecom CO that's a few blocks away but the church bathroom is nicer. There's some perks to having access to a few emergency bathrooms. lol.

I had a pizza kick my ass once. But that was only because I ate the whole damn pizza. Boy did I pay dearly for that. I took like 4 anti-acid chewables and some liquid anti-acid shit. I was going to take this anti-acid fizzy stuff, but it contained a NSAID and said not to combine with an anti-acid chewable or something.
 
A while back, I dropped a set of keys down the sewer. I bought a replacement key fob on eBay, but put off programming it because, after I skimmed a few seeming contradictory set of directions, it seemed complicated and I was unsure about what I might screw up.

My housemate got irritated by me not doing it though. Because apparently only having one working key fob is a problem when you're constantly misplacing your goddamn car keys.

So I finally sat down and did it. Read three sets of directions (different forums - I don't have access to any official Honda documentation) and did what they had in common. It took me about five minutes of reading and 30 seconds to actually program/sync the remote.

So now she's pissed at me for doing it so quickly/easily, because if it were that easy, I should have done it weeks ago.

Can't win. 🙂

You should have said "I have been reading for three weeks to make sure I can do it in thirty seconds."
 
Trying to organize my BDU/ACUs, and the cat's "helping" by grabbing the blousing strings and stuff while I get them on hangers. PITA, but she's part of the reason I leave them on. I only use them once in a blue moon, but she loves them, and rolls around like an idiot grabbing the strings while I put on my pants. She gets excited whenever I grab something camo.

Somewhat related... I've overbought pants. For awhile, they were hard to find at a decent price, so I'd buy them whenever they turned up. I now have enough to outfit a platoon. No manlets :^P
