I wish snowmobiles were legal on the streets here. I'd seriously consider it. Would be less hastle tbh! It's a topic that often gets brought to city council because it used to be legal. But then you have a few idiots that cause issues and it ruins it for everyone.

The weather forecast for this whole week will be cold and colder. The temperature range will be about 20s for low and 40s for high and we are in the deep South.

So much for global warming. Oh, and gas prices went up from $2.02 this morning to $2.09 this evening for regular unleaded because of some explosion in Libya.

finished doing year over year finances.
I over spent an avg $1000/month more than I budgeted. 🙁

I can either look more closely at all bills throughout 2017 to figure out what I over spent on.
nah.. i'll just increase the MISC line in my budget by +$1000/month. 😀

with budget ideas like this, I should run for President...

Son, that's third world poor problem. This is first world problem thread.

Even with all the spending to close out the year, I was a bit short of my goal. I only made a little over $1,600 of cash back from Citibank CC for December month, way short of the $2,000 goal. Try harder next time.

Power steering on my car is pooched but got up too late so the shop is closed. Tried to call to book an appointment hoping they can take it tomorrow. Tomorrow is my last day off before I go back on night shifts. Means I'll be stuck driving without power steering for those shifts as I doubt the shop will be able to take my car in tomorrow. Probably will go in the new year. I think I busted a hose, but can't really see. Probably need the car to be on a hoist to see properly.

19F where I was working today. Toasty warm with the sun out actually. Still have tonight to deal with...
Gonna have to move all this to the First World Triumph thread. Another successful night of not hanging from a beam like a piñata. It was so cold I didn't have time to fixate on being 30' off the ground, and it kept my ass moving. Got it done in record time, and the only snag was on one beam, the ironworkers had an air hose lashed to the cable, and a place I had to disconnect to get around it was right over a splice plate. These were particularly narrow splices, so you had to walk inline between the bolts. I wasn't feeling graceful enough for that, so I got coming the other way. I wish they all went this well.

Another hour or so of paperwork, and I get to go home til Tues. Unless I decide to take off since I got fucked out of my vacation today.

edit:
Oh, and it ended up being 9° on site. My legs were pretty cold.

Is that bad?

😛

Wife doesn't like 'em which is probably a good thing. The amount of grey would be depressing.
On my list of life's disappointments, that one's pretty close to the bottom. Plus side is it matters less than it does for most people. The only person I have to please is myself. Even at work, as long as I show up with pants on, pretty much anything I do is ok. I've had to pay for that kind of freedom, but it's been a good deal, all things considered :^)
