Which reminds me I'm kinda due for a storage upgrade. My biggest drives are 3TB lol. I still have a decent amount of free space though, but it would be nice to have enough space to store CERN and NASA raw data when they make it public. I don't know what I'd do with the data it would just be cool to have. :p

My Honor 8 just got the oct 5 security update... which means no KRACK patch yet :(

Oh wow I wonder if my phone even has that patch lol. I did update my AP but if my phone is not patched then I think the network is still exploitable. Oh well I have my wifi on a rather secluded vlan. Really not much they can do.

Unless your bear population is war driving, I think you are ok.

Actually I wonder if war driving is still popular, well maybe it is now. lol. I remember like 10 years ago when in college me and some friends went around war driving. Fun times.

im going on a cruise for $450 - 10% discount = $410. I got the bare bones package with no promos.
it also has the least desired cabin locations. (ie: lowest deck and long walk to elevators.)

the package with promos is $650. the promo is $100 dining credit in the fancy upcharge restaurants and for a limited time also came with $150 obc (on board credit) that you can use for almost any ship expense like spa or port excursions.

$650 - 10% = $585 - $100 - $150 = basically $335. :(

the additional obc promo is no longer available so I cant cancel and rebook.
kicking myself for not comparing the 2 and doing the math. I just took the cheapest.
and i only knew about it by reading about it online. but by that time, the obc promo was over. :(

I have these 2 ancient pan-tilt cameras and I spent half the day trying to get them to work. They're too old to be supported by the android app I use for connecting. They work ok with a browser but I'd only want them to monitor any critters that get into the basement or attic. That means they have to be able to connect to an email server. But that's apparently too much to ask. They claim to have the feature but I keep getting 'server error.' I know it's doing something because on some servers it will say incorrect userid/pw but if I fix that it goes back to server error. I've had this problem before but I can't remember what I did to work around it. It had something to do with the email server as one might suspect from the error message but what I don't know.

Switched cables on my Dunu DK-3001 IEM's and now they spin around making them harder to insert. Oy. But the cable looks nice at least.

I had a theme installed so it looked pretty much the same. Way faster than the previous version though!

Went to the theater to watch a movie but the times were different from what their website said. I pointed it out to the clerk, who happened to be the shift supervisor, and she blamed it on the owners without offering any apology or seeming to really care. Now I have to go back in 5 hours if I still want to see the movie today. The theater is a short 3-minute drive from my house. How will I cope?

Well, after a little over a week I finally have water running again. Still need to replace a few parts and add in a pressure regulator...but at least it's not spewing thousands of gallons on the neighborhood anymore.
