Yeah, that would get to me too. I tend to like consistency for several months and then I wake up one day and want to be a truck driver in the Yukon or an author in Key West. I have to shake up my life as much as possible while staying employed. Do you need to stay home or could you get a job away from the house? My father was a retired full-time caregiver to my mother when I was a kid and he would often complain to me about the monotony of his life. I didn't really get it at the time, but in hindsight he had more fortitude than I think I have.

My first world problem is that my cold is ending and my lungs are saying "Okay, time to get rid of all of this crap inside of us". That and the fact that I got very little done last week and that's all going to have to get done, so my already long days will be getting longer. Joy.

No I cant get a job because I shot a guy and now whenever I apply for work thats what pops up on a google search. No one wants an interview with me.

It didn't happen today but I'm still sore. Went to bed Saturday night and woke up Sunday and my right hip was super fricking sore. I sleep on my side and it can happen if I'm laying too much towards my back (still sleeping on side but laying kinda halfway between side and back), and it's the leg/side that's facing the ceiling. It's like right to the rear of my hip bone. God I can get sore from sleeping; it never used to happen when I was younger but I've really noticed it in the past few years (I'm 34, almost 35. Wow... fml). It don't help my cat sleeps on top the bed and I can't move around as much cause if I disturb him where he's gotta get up, he won't just lay back down and instead go into the living room or jump onto the window perch and make noise. So yeah, lol.

I wanna get a new mattress cause the one I have is super old but this particular issue I don't think would be alleviated by that, I just can't lay in that position. I'd like to be able to sleep on my back but whenever I do my lower back is really sore. LMAO, I sound like an old man or something.

I found it helps to stretch before and after bedtime. I feel better and sleep better and it also helps maintain flexibility as opposed to just stretching during workouts.

It sucks that you never get to an interview where you could explain that the guy needed shooting. Besides, I thought you missed?

Yeah but getting my record expunged is a long painful process. And in the meantime its pretty much guaranteeing I dont get a job. I honestly dont know how felons can get by in life. A dropped misdemeanor is ruining mine.

I'm not familiar with the event you've mentioned but perception is reality for most people. It sucks but that's probably not going to change. One option might be a name change. Part of the process is publishing the proposed change to give people notice but it's not the sort of thing that's going to show up in the top search results unless maybe if you have a really uncommon name.

Got a call today that a bridge is sinking, and they want me to check the benchmarks I set on the wingwalls, and set a new bench. I'm busy tomorrow, so that leaves Thursday or Friday when I took off. Fucking pita. This shit always happens to me...

I've got a cold and upper respiratory crud so your alcohol will be safe, at least from me.

That's one plus of my job. I haven't really been sick since I quit smoking; ~10 years or so. I also work outside, and by myself, so I avoid all the filthy disease bags wandering the planet, using my oxygen :^D

Do you have to tie it in to other benchmarks or is GPS good enough?

We don't do much with gps. All our satellite gear is old and obsolete. I'll tie it in with the other benchmarks on the job. The job's small, and it'll be a single setup, but takes an hour+ to get there. I'm looking at three hours total, but then it's just another work day. The day's ruined, and I might as well keep working at that point.

They said they were driving pile, water gushed out of the pit, and a sinkhole appeared in the middle of the creek. The half of the old bridge that was left up has started cracking, and they said it's dropped 3". That's pretty bad, and there's some big trucks that drive that road. Dunno what the detour will be like if they shut the whole thing down, but I assume it sucks since they didn't detour in the first place.

I installed my new LED christmas lights, but they are too short to do the whole front of the house, but too long that if I buy another I'll have way too much excess.

The birds don't like my bird feeder. I put shelled sunflower seeds in it but there don't seem to be any takers. I haven't even seen the squirrels go near it. Maybe they made it next door to where they package coyote or cougar urine. I don't know.

Well we don't have a third world problems thread, so I'll just post here. I haven't had running water since Monday evening. It is now Thursday morning. The last time I had a shower was Monday morning. It is summer in Africa here, it is hot. I'm even out of bottled water that I keep for emergencies like this.

Johannesburg, South Africa. There was a water pipe that burst, a huge one. Took 3 days to repair apparently.

I took the morning off to run errands like getting my plates for my car only to find out that everything is closed not just yesterday, but today and tomorrow. I'm surrounded by commies.

No you are the commie, expecting patriotic Americans to give up their free time to work for your needs?

No, he's a capitalist, expecting the corporate masters to grind every bit of humanity out of the downtrodden masses for $7.35/hr.

I approve.
