I am trying to live healthier by cutting back soda and watching what I eat but so far, I am still a long way to go to achieve my goal (tone up and lower body fat index). A lot more fun to eat and drink what you want than vice versa.

Check out IIFYM. Eat whatever you want, as long as it fits into your personal macros for the day.

Counting everything blows, but on the flip side, you're not limited in your food choices for losing weight!

Local non profit helps young men that have had addiction problems. They come about once a month selling plants, baked goods, etc. to help support their ministry. Today, it was pound cake....under no circumstances is it a good idea for me to be alone with a pound cake but I have to do my part.:(

Idiots created a fuel shortage by fearing a fuel shortage and buying all the fuel in one day.

It's pricy but check into permanent contact lenses, it's pretty much what they for cataracts but have been seeing people get it done insteadof of lasix

Good to know that's an option, though I'm hoping my eye sight turns out to be fine. It seems to be sporadic so I think it might be a tiredness thing, maybe diet or something. I'll ask the eye doctor about it anyway.

Yeah that's a new thing they've had for a few years here now. It's an extra cost though, but I always get it done anyway. I imagine at some point it might be part of the standard exam.

I ordered a pizza with a new crust (pan) instead of my regular (hand toss) and it was too greasy/oily. Back to hand toss crust on the next order.

Buy two pound cakes so they can watch you.

The 1 year old bag of concrete that sat in my basement went bad. I only needed a small amount for something last year so bought a whole bag. I should build some forms for a standard size block or something so that when I have left over concrete like that I can just cast some blocks that can be used for something.

Would a giant rubbermaid box have helped you?

I've learned that rain can come from nowhere here despite the forecast. I like to also look at the radar. It can be clear for 100 miles all around, pure cloudless sunny day. Step away from area for like 10 minutes, come back, and it's a raging torrential downpour. I've learned to not keep anything outside that can't get wet if I step away from the area for a short while.

Was testing a solar setup once, I just laid out all the stuff on the lawn, I went for a haircut, while my hair is being cut a thunderstorm showed up from out of nowhere. The skies were completely clear in all directions 5 minutes before.

Thankfully nothing got damaged, the crocodile clips just got very corroded.

Do you have a cast-iron skillet? This overnight pan pizza recipe is super easy:

http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2013/01/foolproof-pan-pizza-recipe.html

It's like Pizza Hut pizza from back in the day, pre-grease.

Funny that you mentioned cast iron skillet. I was at Sam's Club earlier today and they did have a sale on 12" cast iron skillets for about $20. I tried to pick one up to check it out and holly smoke, it was heavy. How the heck an average American woman would be able to pick that thing up and cook with it?

A few notes:

1. You can cook with a 10" or 12". I have both sizes, but for cooking indoors, I almost always use the smaller (and lighter) 10" skillet.

2. There is a very special skillet from Field Company that is half the weight of traditional cast-iron skillets & uses modern production tools to get old-school results. It was originally a Kickstarter project that went on to be wildly successful with almost two million dollars raised:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/field-company/the-field-skillet-lighter-smoother-cast-iron

The downside is that each skillet is $100, so it's a hefty investment over a $10 or $20 Lodge skillet. But, it will last forever, plus it's half the weight, plus it's extremely smooth due to the modernized manufacturing process:

https://fieldcompany.com/p/cast-iron-field-skillet/

3. The skillet has both a handle & a protruding lip on the opposite side. If the skillet is too heavy to lift just by the handle, you can use a second oven mitt to grasp the outer lip to lift it. Even the smaller 10" size is pretty heavy, especially if you have it loaded up with a few chicken breasts in sauce & you're moving it from the stovetop to the oven & vice-versa.

Just get off the phone with American Airlines agent from DFW airport. A friend of a friend stuck there (because of Harvey, United punted her flight from Houston to DFW) and then the paper work (Visa to travel internationally) was not good enough per AA agent so I did have to go online and and location a 2 pages form to email to that agent so she could print it out and do it manually and called back to the travel agency and this and that. All of that while tried to speak several languages and tried to explain to that friend of a friend how to do different things.

All for FREE. Yup. Nothing but a thank you. Just like a few hours I spent a few months ago on the phone to trouble shoot a friend of a friend Apple phone/itune problem.

I am thinking about move to a large city with large immigrant population and open a "trouble shooting" agency for immigrants. A lot of demand for that kind of service I reckon. $100 per trouble shooting gig (discount for cute single females of course).

Yeah...I switched out most of my family to Chromebooks a year or two ago. 110% done with free tech support lol. 2FA + Google Photos + Ublock Origin extension FTW.
