Best Buy is selling their last shipment of NES Classics Monday morning and each store is getting a minimum of 7, yet, at the same time I have a college placement test that same day at 2pm. If I stay up all night camped outside BB I may yet get one, but risk being groggy for the exam.

Oi Nintendo, why must you torment me so?

I bought a small spray foam kit to fix some areas I missed in my basement but the kit was too small, should have went with another big one. Now I'm at the point where if I buy another big one I'm spending more than if I had hired a pro to do it. So debating on calling it "good enough" and I'll just use strips of vapour barrier and tape for the areas that have big gaps. This is strictly to air seal to rim joist area and between the wall and foundation, going to be using batts and vapour barrier for rest but the air seal envelope has to all meet up properly otherwise it will leak and negate effects of insulation.

This is great news! Thanks. I'll be lining up in hopes of getting a spare controller.

Pulled one of my original NES out of storage to let the kids play some classic games but it did't want to work so I had to go dig another one out. I really wanted one of the NES Classic systems but no Nintendo says I don't need one.

You try swabbing the carts with alcohol? You can clean the internal connector by wetting a cart, inserting it, pressing it down, and wiggling in all four directions. Repeat if necessary.

Bought some muller light strawberry yoghurt 3 hours ago, came home checked the expiry date and it's due freaking tomorrow. Checked iPhone and now it's 2:14AM so theoretically it's out of date might as well kill my self now.

Nah, I didn't get that desperate since I had a second system laying around. The midgets had a hard time grasping move and jump at the same time in Mario but Duck Hunt they loved.

Complete vintage setup all the way down to the TV stand.

I really wish I had something simpler like Excitebike for them to play but I waited 3.5 years for this day and I couldn't hold out any more.

Subdivision so new, that muddy water everywhere when it rains, clogs up street because they had stoppers up, broken down workers van there for days, port a shitter and dumpster right next to me. Guess having too new of a house/subdivision is 1st world probs, and not the first time I've cried about it. Knew it going in though.. should be done soon hopefully.

Last weekend was so beautiful my wife was stopping traffic looking like Ms Parker from Friday doing new flower bed, this weekend rainy as shit non stop. Ugh.

What state are you in? Whoever's in charge of sediment control needs a foot in their ass. They need about 400% more silt fence than they have up, and thr stuff that is up needs to be fixed.

^^^ I am confused a little by your comments to be honest. The outside shitter is for the workers, working on the house. My wife shits inside the house. I guess I could see a shit joke with all the brown water? No need to backtrack the statement, not at all offended.

I don't even get the point of keeping drivers proprietary. A hardware company should concentrate on hardware, the driver just happens to be needed to make the hardware work - as is often half assed. Why prevent people from properly experiencing the hardware because of the driver. I have run into hardware I had to abandon not because the hardware was unstable but because the driver was. If the driver was open source that would not be an issue. I have two video cards that were originally for a SLI setup but the driver for them is so unstable (even with just 1 card in system) in both Linux and Windows that they are sitting on a shelf now.
Gfx cards I can understand. I don't agree with it, but I understand it. They can have some secret sauce that gives them a competitive advantage. Nothing special is happening in a network card. Withholding data on exactly how it works is just being a dick.
That would never fly in MD. If that were here, they'd probably have a stop work order posted til it was fixed.

Yikes, they put blockers around the drains? Is it because they are not fully plumbed yet or to stop construction debris? I could consider going to move one before you get water in the basement. Make it look like the wind did it. :p

As I was told, yes to keep construction trash and such from the drains. We've been here since Oct last year, only happened like this 3 times that I can remember. I did move it before, they've moved it back. Annoying for sure, but they'll be done soon. Only a few houses left to do. Be done by end of summer, they go up so fast. Frame the entire house with roof in literally 3 days.

Watching this old documentary. Incorporates a bunch of newsreel footage from the '30s. This motherfucker keeps pronouncing "deluxe" as "de-loox."

I guess it's sort of the old french pronunciation; would have been common around the turn of the century. But it's driving me nuts.

Wow that's fast. Almost makes one wonder if it's all shoddy work. You see these subdivisions go up so fast and it's all minimum code and even less and people end up with all sorts of issues down the line.
