Charter refused to give me discount on my internet bill so I decided to switch to AT&T Fiber 1000 Mbps. But when I tried signing up for AT&T Fiber 1000 Mbps service, I found out I couldn't because my credit was frozen. So I had to pay $3 to thaw my credit so I could sign up for the service. I don't understand why AT&T needs to do hard credit pull for freaking internet service. What's the most I could not pay? Two months or $160 before they shut me off for nonpayment? They could easily just take credit card and have it on file to cover any potential nonpayment. Credit hard pull seems excessive for new internet service.

Now I need to pay for VPN service to prevent AT&T from spying on me.

I got in shit for an alarm last night that I didn't call on and it turns out it affected 10 customers. There's this new HP system they are moving stuff to and everything about it is crap. The system is just pure garbage. Trying to get information such as callout info is like pulling teeth, and it seems like they just copy and pasted everything anyway, every single node says to call out even though they arn't all callout nodes. Got one where every time it comes in it's just loss of management, so I just made a ticket and that's it. Turns out I did have to call out.

I hate doing callouts because the tech lists/departments are all messed up and you end up calling retired and dead people half the time because nobody wants to update the lists properly. Lack of proper documentation/info is one of the things I hate about my job.

Wouldn't calling out the head honchos because "they are on the list" get action, other than possibly getting you fired?

I went to Toys R Us to pick up two free birthday presents (TRU coupon) for a friend's daughter and one of the free items was out of stock so I will have to go back again.

Oddly nothing seems to change. I've even called dead people before. Nothing like waking up a widow at home to ask if their husband who has been dead for 5 years is available to go fix a down pole or look at a piece of equipment that's in alarm! I always feel like shit when that happens. I actually encourage them to call the office in the morning and put in a complaint. If they get enough complaints about that they might actually fix it. The other day I needed a tech for something, and 3 of the people I called have been retired for like 3 years.

I've been working on my own database system so I can start populating it myself from info I do have.

I wanted to use up the rest of my boost mobile high speed data to see how fast the throttled connection was, but couldn't think of anything I wanted to download.I settled on Ubuntu budgie. Throttled speed is 2-3* dialup speed(~16KBs). I'm fairly pleased with that. I'd have killed for that speed 10 years ago :^D

Nice they just throttle the speed instead of overcharging? I could definitely live with that.

I remember when I was on dialup, if I got 4KB/sec on a download I was laughing. "wow they must have really good servers!" lol.

So pissed off I brushed my teeth and then rinsed my mouth with expensive mouthwash. 30minutes later I dont feel sleepy so I went downstairs and had a Magnum ice cream. After that I didn't brush my teeth. What is life I might kill my self

Magnum pops are the bomb dot com. Downside is they're like $2.50 each here :(
My reward to myself upon completing my first (and only) hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back was a Magnum bar. Five bucks.

We only had mini chicken biscuits from chick-fil-a at our work meeting this morning and I wanted a normal sized chicken biscuit.

I was smelling a dandelion today, and didn't notice it had ants on it. I got a couple in my nose, and I think one of the fuckers bit me. Ruined my special moment :^S
