Found out I'm getting a new boss. I like my current boss, and hope the new one is just as good.

Also hope this is not some early stage of closing down the department or something. Changes like this always kinda worry me, there's been so many changes of this nature in past years.

I had ATOT withdrawal the last week or so. Ended up getting notification on Weds that I passed my PE and then went away for Thanksgiving. LIFE IS GOOD. NO FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS (YET)!!!

Wasted some time this morning trying to find the netflix DVDs to return.

Got an email just now saying they had received them and were sending me the next ones in my queue. I guess I popped them in the mail slot before Thanksgiving and forgot.

Well, that "struggling mom" on Craigslist got back to me. All "she" did was ask for my number. Between the low balling and questionable negotiations tactic... I'm almost sure this person is a spammer and just wants a number.

And my YouTube channel is really ramping up now that it's the holidays. But again, out of ideas. Fuq. Well, not totally out of ideas, but I need a working space/area to expand and that costs money.

I need to figure out a topic for a youtube channel and get into that myself. It seems to be a decent gig these days if you can draw in a decent audience. Like something like the hydraulic press channel, rather simple yet fun to watch.

^It's really a crap shoot and competition is huge. However, where you live and I think you said you like camping, something outdoors-y probably isn't a bad idea. Go out and film some deer/moose. The more exotic the better.*

Or get a puppy.

There are some great prices (~$275) on decent-to-middling 4k monitors, but all the ones with VESA mount compatibility are still ~$400.

Yeah could be fun, I barely camp anymore though unfortunately. No one in my family really goes anymore. Would be my dream to eventually buy a cottage or land somewhere and possibly off grid it. Maybe if ever I won the lotto. :p

But ya could probably do some sciency stuff too, like what happens when you do something at -40C :p Someone I went to college with actually did a pretty interesting video years ago, boiling water out of a water gun. Rather interesting effect.

Using my POS infrared remote control for cable box. Unresponsive piece of shit. The other "cable" company in town has a Bluray remote, but it's only for their 4k box, I think -- don't have or want a 4k TV.

I completed my series of gel injections on my left knee today and will complete them on my right knee next week. It only took 5 months to get the VA to approve being seen by a civilian physician. I'm also willing to bet that I'm going another year without any COLA on my disability benefit as well. If only our elected officials had to use the VA for their health care...us veterans would get something done ASAP.

Wikipedia be asking for donations again.

I can understand and appreciate their cause, but I find they can be a bit obnoxious about it. I might still donate though. They are one of few informative sites on the internet that is not trying to shove javascript BS down your throat. (except for when they want you to donate lol)

I'm a full time student right now so its all that I've got until I graduate and go back to work.

Im a full time student and I got health insurance from college.
The VA is so horrible I just bypass them entirely. the co-pay/deductible is worth it just to not have to go downtown and wait in a huge room for half a day.

I'm a compensable disabled and I will take what I'm entitled to without any additional cost. The rule is that if the VA cannot provide you with care within 30 days that they are supposed to authorize you to seek care from a civilian provider through Veterans Choice. The fact is that even with that it takes them months to see it through which is why so many vets are raising sand over the process. This needs to be changed to allow veterans to go to a civilian provider using their VA card like a regular medical card and cut Veterans Choice out of the picture completely. If I need care and the VA isn't available it doesn't change the fact that I need care and since I am entitled to it I should be able to access it at any time or place whether or not a VA facility is involved. I know that I will never get my healthy body back in this life but all veterans deserve better treatment than they are getting and no politician who has never done without will understand our predicament.

I added an "if" and changed some indents, to add a small special case in a python script, but because of the indents, source control thinks I rewrote like 2/3rds of the script and the diff is a mess.
