I set up an action camera 8 hours ago in hopes that I would catch something extraordinary out of this Hurricane Matthew. The only thing I've seen are the neighbors palm fronds drop into his yard while the trees sway in the gusts. Last tropical system brought an ef-1 tornado through the neighborhood that damaged a lot of trees and roofs. Not that I want to see anyone's home get damaged but I was hoping for some wayward geese or something weird to get caught up in the wind.

Bookstore is having another 15% sale. Once again, it includes everything but Lego and books. I know they're low margin but come on, man.

Is "Bookstore" something other than a bookstore? Oddity 1, legos. Oddity 2, a bookstore doesn't have books on sale.

Didn't see much that looked interesting to me, but might be worthwhile if they have a good book selection. I seldom read anymore, but I still like a good bookstore.

I stopped years ago but 95% of my visits there were to read their magazines and not buy anything...

I was collecting persimmons yesterday, and putting them in my vest pocket. I slipped on the bank, and squashed the persimmons in my pocket, so I ended up with a sticky mess :^(
Being a persimmonious man, you won't be sending the garment out to be cleaned, I suppose.

I think I fucked up my right index finger by clicking too much. Doing audio and video editing clicking through individual frames.

^I'm starting to suspect that the person was drunk when "she" contacted me last night at 12 am. Ladies usually aren't interested in what I was selling -- nerd, outdoors/handy type item.

In other news, I bought my first bottle of wine in months, but my stomach is too full right now so I don't want to waste the alcohol.

Edit: Got wasted and had to take a leak while wasted for fear of wasting my chair and carpet. Man...

I once texted someone on CL about a tent. They gave me location deep in the hood known for high crime. I did the Google Maps lookup and it was an abandoned house. Like I'm that stupid. Blocked the sucker!

Sorry about your persimmons. +1 that anyone still knows about them.

It was just a mesh safety vest, but I did get it from the thrift shop :^D

Really, I was just pissed I messed up my persimmons. I may go back to the job this weekend with a container, and grab some more before they're gone.

I tried planting some seeds last year, but nothing came up. I have some in a pot now. In addition to that, I might just stake off a section of yard, and randomly put the rest of the seeds in there. I'd love to have a tree in my yard. That, and a pawpaw tree. I haven't seen pawpaw in ages though.

Some beta program I've been using for years decided to suddenly "expire" on me. It was freeware and the message made it look like the expiration was to force you to upgrade to the latest version and not about money -- no premium version to be found. The program was from a university so probably some grad student's thesis. Hasn't been updated in years. Pointless feature to cripple the program. Great.

For some reason the battery in my fob (Mazda3)runs out fast forcing me to unlock my car by putting the key into the lock like a barbarian.

I made myself get up and take advantage of a Family Dollar coupon I have. They've got Folgers coffee on sale so that combined with the coupon was a win win for me. Nov I've got enough coffee to get me into next spring giving Juan Valdez enough time to export more of it to the states.:smilingimp:

Every now and then my fob refuses to open the door and I have to do it manually too. I actually feel poor when I have to do that!

I hated the key fob things when I drove company cars. Kept mashing the lock buttons to be sure they locked because if I tried to check the doors with the fob in hand (grew up in key only cars), it unlocked it for me due to some wireless proximity thing.

Edit: Oh, and I found out the next debate is Sunday, not Monday. Not sure if I should be thankful or disappointed about my shows all being preempted tomorrow.

That's fucking up my Sunday night Echoes show. That's my favorite thing about Sunday, and I couldn't care less about the dog and pony show.

Then you'll love the post-debate "analyses" for days on end until the next debate!

Oh yea. I especially enjoy when NPR asks average people what they "think". I don't care who you're voting for, and I don't want to know what you think. Post some quick poll stats, and get on with the rest of the news. Not like this shit matters... Some calculating bitch telling people what her spreadsheet says they want to hear, and a retard whose mouth starts running when a thought pops in his head :^S
