Housemate woke me up this morning bright and early (9:30.)

Why? She was watching TV in the other room, somebody got attacked from behind, and she yelped.

Kroger has 73/27 ground beef on sale for $1.99/lb. Carfagna's, a family-owned place, has 80/20 on sale for the same price. I like Carfagna's better, but Kroger is a few blocks away while Carfagnas is a 25 minute drive.

I can't get my rear windshield washer nozzle to fan the spray onto the glass. The ford piece is a simple one that uses the collision of the two streams reflecting off the v shaped housing to spread the fluid evenly across the rear glass. I did manage to seal it up just a little bit to keep it from just pouring out of the housing so that most of it exits through the two openings that are supposed to collide and splatter. I suppose that I'll have to order one from ebay because nobody else seems to carry a factory oem replacement. I haven't tried my local ford dealer and I don't want a used one from a junk yard.

Had to put on my plumber hat to fix the chain in my toilet. The extra chain kept getting stuck under the plunger thing, keeping it open. I had to bend the rod (between the handle and the chain) upwards a bit to get the chain to have less slack, as well as move the chain up a couple notches. Time for football and beers.

I plugged my USB sound card into my monitor's USB hub... Now the area behind my monitor looks like ass. It's the two speaker cables and the single USB sound cable. Rest of it runs under the table but I was too lazy to route them under the table when I installed them. Now I don't feel like it.

My vehicle insurance just came a few days ago and it was for less than $300/6 months for full coverage Older vehicle plus no ticket FTW.

Interestingly enough I'm in the same ballpark on car insurance. I'm hoping that since the state is dropping the uninsured motorist provision that rates will fall soon. But then again the insurance commission did allow insurers to raise rates not too long ago.

I really need to start shopping around. Having two underage kids, one 16, a new ES350 and full coverage on four out of five cars is kicking my ass. $2750 for six months and that is with NO accidents or tickets. It's more expensive but I'm grandfathered to a plan that they CAN'T cancel (can raise prices but no cancellation) and for every five years with no accidents, I get one free accident forgiveness (up to five free accidents right now). Still not sure it's worth it at this point. Surely I can get it cheaper.

Car insurance is ridiculous for new drivers. Before I turned 25, they wanted like 5k per year, so that works out to about $416/mo. That was probably not counting taxes, so in reality more like $600-700/mo.

I also got screwed on my house but did not realize. I was paying 170/mo. I figured that was normal. Got a quote elsewhere at some other point for fun... 35/mo. Now that I'm over 25 I have the car and house in my name and it's 170 for both.

Now that I'm 30 I wonder if I get some kind of break for being accident free, I need to call my insurance to check. Zero claims so far on house or car.

Took forever to install then update a game. When I tried to run it, got ANOTHER installation notification, and it says will take approximately 1660 minutes to complete.

Yeah, mine is like that too. Always very slowly updating. I just unplugged the ethernet cable so it's usable.

As far as car insurance goes, move to Saint Louis. I pay $230/mo for my insurance. I'm 34 and haven't had a ticket in 10+ years. It increased $60/mo when I moved from the suburbs to the city proper.
