Even contact with sugar will start a fire. Spill your soda on it and...

From what I found on the stuff, it's mainly used for taste & odor removal in large scale water treatment. On smaller scales, maybe for well disinfection and supposedly available at pool supply stores.

I took two graduate level courses in water treatment and may have heard a blurb about it. Yet we covered ozonation and chlorine gas in some detail.

Something happened to my internet/VPN connection. OH NOOOZZZZZ!!!!

Had to reinstall PIA which was tricky w/o a connection. So uninstalled it so I could get to my straight ISP connect. Downloaded and installed PIA and set it up.

OK, cool. Then I try to log in to my password manager and it tells me I have the wrong password. Bullshit. It's the right password you digital chimp. But that's an argument I was never going to win. So I had to get out my Yubi key for an alternate login. Except the key fits into a usb socket either up or down but only works one way. I eventually figure this out and get to reset my password. Now I just have to put the key someplace I can find it again for when this happens again in a couple of years.

I wasted most of the day just surfing the internet. Freaking technology is draining my life. I have to stop doing that though, need to do more productive things with my time.

To be fair I just got off a stretch of day shifts, those completely murder me, I'm really a night owl.

I can't set the right date on my Harmony remote because the year only goes up to 2015. Nice job planning for the future, guys.

easy fix - unless you really need the year for something rather than just the month and day.

Look up a perpetual calendar and set the Harmony to a previous year that had the same month and day sequence on the same weekdays - if that made any sense. There are a limited number of combinations so you shouldn't have to go too far back in time to find a matching year. Although this was a leap year so that slightly complicates the matter.

The bastards only give me three options for the year: 2013, 2014, and 2015. I know that the One had some serious reliability problems, but did they really think that they would all be dead within 3 years?

Just saw The Big Short... now I can't understand why I don't remember much of any of the major financial collapses through 2008. I didn't give a shit back then, but I was really into the Obummer campaign and had CNN on like 24/7.

That's some serious bullshit right there. Who the fuck does shit like that? And it's not like it's the only bone head thing logitech has ever done either. I'd love to see someone sue their ass.

My nostrils are leaking again. FML, this better not be the start of another damn cold, I just got over the last one a few weeks ago. The last one started exactly the same way.

I was sick all weekend with a sore throat and then chest congestion and cough. I always worry when they start with the throat because it reminds of the one time in my life I had strep throat. God that was painful.

Looks like I'm almost over it now though. We'll see. I don't know if it was an ordinary cold, some mutant strain of flu not included in my vaccine or what.

Not sure what I had a few weeks back. It didn't feel like a lowly cold, I had mild chills sleeping and a headache. Even after it went away, my energy levels took more than a week to recover.

Took a bit over a week to go away. Hoping it's allergies or pollen right now since it's spring.

Bought a shirt.
The fuckers used 200,000 stitches per inch on the itchy tag that's also made of a tear-resistant material.

....screw it, I've been at it for 10 minutes with a seam ripper and it's hardly halfway gone.

...there, the seam's all screwed up now, but the goddamn tag is gone. Time to sew it back together now.

Unfortunately the rest of the tag was thrown out awhile ago, so I don't know who's responsible for this shit.

Are these companies hoping that their precious tags survive the death of the Sun?

For all that, it would have been much easier to use a stitch remover and resew the edge.

Royals game went 10 innings and while the team won, I was very tired and my wife played music on the way home so I couldn't sleep. Too tired to play xbox or do anything so I went to bed early and woke up at 6 am tired. Long day today as well and boy scouts is tonight so I'll be taking the kid there at 7. Wish today was Friday...

Shockwave Flash keeps crashing when I visit two or three sites. Pretty sure it's the site because it's always been so damn resource intensive.

My company changed our VOIP system last week. One of the other offices programmed their fax machine to send faxes to my desk phone instead of my office fax machine.

I'd ask "Who uses fax anymore?" except that apparently people in my own company do, often.

I sent a fax to the other office listing our fax number and asking them to check their settings. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

If you pick up the phone and it's a fax machine you can forward the call to your fax machine and it will work. People used to fax my desk phone all the time and i would have to do that.

Do you lose like a page? That's pretty cool.

So, I'm trying to avoid using my cell phone so I don't have to charge it... Battery's low, I have to make a call, but I'd have to plug it in afterward:(.
