Forecast says it'll go back to freezing temperatures early next week. What the fuq? It's April, blow me, winter.

Well it's only April, we probably still have a couple more snow storms till winter is actually over.

This heat wave is unusually long though, I don't mind it, but I just find it's a big tease. Don't now from one day to the next if it's hot or cold out.
 
My first world problem is that my car auto start seems to be really glitchy when it's not cold enough out. The motor goes into an infinite loop where it tries to start and fails, forcing me to go outside right away to break the cycle so the battery or starter does not die. Opening the driver side door 3 times fixes it then I can start it manually.

It almost sounds like the kind of problem you'd get with a Windows computer. 😛
 
I just found out that the British pronounce the word "urinal" as you're-ine-al instead of you're-in-al. What is this shit. Mind totally blown.
 
Not a first world problem but possibly a third world. Just saw what I'm pretty sure was a fox in my front yard. A little bigger than a cat with a long bushy tail.

I don't keep any chickens or other livestock so I'd love to see a fox take up residence. The hawks and falcons seem to have been slacking off on the squirrels and the ground hogs are too plump to be carried off.
 
Spent a few hours hand-shredding a couple hundred pages when I had a reasonable electric shredder in the same room. I thought I could avoid vacuuming by hand-shredding -- nope, little bits of paper particles everywhere by hand too.
 
Just watched the cold open for House S7E1 on Netflix so I could compare it to both of my album versions of Massive Attack's "Teardrop." When the intro started the captions said "[Massive Attack's Teardrop]" but what played was that stupid music that they always used for the end credits. The pilot episode never had an opening theme so I went back to S1EP2 and it had the opening music used in other markets where they couldn't secure the rights to "Teardrop."

Is Netflix playing the UK version for the USA now?

Couldn't find an animated GIF of fall damage/death in the original Donkey Kong to respond to someone complaining about how modern/3D Mario games added fall damage. I gave up searching and popped the game into my NES to demonstrate it with one hand. By the time I did that and uploaded it someone else had already replied.

it was $10k for 31k mi car; here's a similar deal in GA:

there one like it at in GA

To update: I don't need a special power outlet, the standard wall outlet charged the car to full over a 12 hour period. It started with an 80 mi range new, and driving it around with AC and zero to 60 in 8seconds, i'm getting about 60 miles to a full battery: much more than the 30miles I need a day to commute. Also there's free charging at work: Which is going to save me $450 a year.

First world win.

Sounds like a good deal. Did the warranty transfer when you bought it? You're supposed to get 60k miles before the battery starts having problems holding a charge.

Found a big batch of townhomes in my hood recently that I didn't know existed... Streetview caught them during construction, and like the other batch in my hood, they appeared to all be wood framed with particle/fiberboard panels. How the hell are these safe again?

I know it's standard to use wood for such low-level buildings, but it's like 50+ units all connected in a row. One fucktard falls asleep with a cigarette and it's game over for everyone -- all are $900k+ Canadian Pesos. At least apartments are usually concrete and contain fires to one unit.
