I take it then that the "original" jerry can made of plastic, shaped like a rectangle, and made of plastic is illegal now...

Illegal to sell but I'm sure existing owners are grandfathered.

No, they are perfectly legal for home and personal use. The can Charmonium posted is legal for commercial use at a fixed location (place of business). To be OSHA and DOT legal for use in transport (carry it on a truck), you need the style with the rollbars. OSHA and DOT don't care if you blow yourself up, you just can't blow up your employees.

The previous attempt at meeting the DOT requirement was even worse.

Looking at houses I can afford in the NY metro area is depressing when compared to the rest of the east coast. Time to move.

Got woke up today by knocking on the patio door and when I went to see what it was the group of turkeys that have been hanging around were on the deck and the alpha male was knocking at his reflection in the door.

It's a good thing it's not a 3rd world here or he would had been a late christmas dinner.

Went snowboarding over the weekend and wanted to swap the summer tires back on instead of driving around in snow tires.

My impact hammer ran out of juice and I had to manually take the lug nuts off.

You can probably find something cheap in Trenton and it's on the Northeastern corridor so you can take either Slamtrack or NJDoT trains. It should be about an hour and a half into the city, maybe closer to 75 minutes if you take an express train. Where will you be commuting to or do you also want to change jobs?

Turkey thought bubble: How the hell is this guy anticipating my every move?

I had to manually shovel my back walk since I couldn't use the snow plow on it. I'm almost tempted to get a compact electric snowblower but I don't think it would work on more than a few inches of snow.

Grew up in Westchester area, now live (and work) in LI. Neither are cheap by any means compared to the rest of the country. Depending on where my GF ends up after grad school (which she graduates this June), we may or may not be relocating. Time will tell. I just get really jealous of the 300k house that is 2500 sq ft, with a pool, 4BR 2 Bath, two car garage, brick, etc. everywhere BUT here. That's minimum 600k in this area. Probably more. I have so many houses saved on Zillow all over the country just... because. :D

300k in my hood gets you a lender owned 2 BR townhouse or 5000 square feet of shitty hilly land.

There used to be a roving band of peacocks that lived in an old orange grove in the neighborhood that were doing that to peoples cars awhile, till animal control nabbed them and moved em out :p

Bummer, my wife and I have wanted to introduce peacocks into the neighborhood ever since we got here.

Found out that vegetable oil may cause cancer when heated. Butter and extra virgin olive oil produce less cancer, but they smoke lower, and smoked oil causes cancer so... fuck you.

Living long enough causes cancer. Do what you want, and think happy thoughts. Death's around the corner; every corner...

The product is only known to cause cancer in California. Another reason to not live there! :awe:
