i had to go to another office for work today and intended to get back about 4 and just go home early...but got back in town at 5 :-/
 
Had a drunk person plow into the telephone pole outside of my neighborhood last night, the crews finally got everything put back together, but now my Cable and Internet are down. I end up calling Comcast and telling them about the accident, and they insist on making go through the spiel to tshoot the modem and cable box. Then they tell me it will be the 11th before they can send someone out and at the end of the conversation the jackass asks me if I want their phone service as well. I felt like saying, "Yes, please port my number over to your switch, so my home phone can be out of service until the 11th also."

I clicked on a link to a legit site -- with a legit address I checked afterwards -- but still hit one of those "your computer is infected" POS sites.

At least you didn't have to deal with that truck accident southbound on the turnpike a couple days ago (yesterday perhaps). I didn't either, but it seemed like a friggin nightmare with the whole road closed from exit 13-12.

As for today, all the Dunkin Donut options for my morning coffee were packed out the door this morning so i had to wait until 9:30 to go back down and try again. Sadly, same result so I had to wait in line for 6 minutes to get my coffee and muffin. Could I have gone elsewhere? Sure, but I'm an addict.

Funny you mention that. One of the guys I work with mentioned this.... he was on the southern state and the signs were mentioning the turnpike closed (I think he said 14-18?) saying how much worse it could have been - LOL. That must have been a disaster. I was delayed about 30 mins getting to work. I'm still leaving at 3. ()🙂
 
Darn hot weather. This week will be close to 100 and next week will be over 100 for the whole week. AC machine will be running hard for sure.
 
Haven't had rain for a month. Was going to put down fert tonight but it started raining. Should have planned on putting it down in July.
 
Think I just decided to change out the CR2032 battery out of mobo finally. Can't find them for sale individually except at Wal-Mart, but I'm not heading that way.

Hoping it's true mobos store some charge in a capacitor so I won't have to redo all my settings if I swap it quick enough.
 
I bought a 1 kilogram Pamp Suisse Lady Fortuna paperweight and my wife saw it and wants one also. Unfortunately all the dealers are out of stock on that.

I've blamed my wife. She refused to do the naked rain dance. She's selfish like that.

I'm guessing but we probably got 2" in an hour. Most of it went down the storm drain and I'll have to water again Monday.

well, people dont really use that much paper now. it has to be heavy enough to hold down an ipad.

my kids were with me for the summer, but i sent them back to their mom for the school year, so now i have to clean the kitchen, dishes, and take out the trash again. so dumb. no wonder they hate this shit.

My SSD died a few weeks back and wiped out most of my single-player game saves. I restarted Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (because PIRATES), and I'm having a lot of fun playing through a new game, even though I lost all the fancy stuff I had accumulated before. And then I unlock the "Kenway's Fleet" minigame, and it turns out that's all tied to the Cloud, and I've got my entire fleet of Level 60 Man O' Wars returning from missions; my bank account jumped from 700 to 42,000 in an instant. Now I want to upgrade my ship, but I don't have any resources outside of cash.

CURSE YOU CLOUD. WHY MUST YOU MOCK ME SO?

I bought a pack of 3 for like $2 at Dollarama. I use it for the bathroom scale, so I don't need fancy brands...
