Bought a surge protector online, the piece of shit was made by a 5 year old on his first day on the job: bent prongs, severely bent ground prong that caused the plug to not go in all the way, and pinched insulation where the cord meets the body. The worst part is that I had five from the same brand, two the exact same model with a longer cord, all were perfect from what I could tell. Now I have to ship the POS back:(. Not exchanging since they'll probably send me another one from the same pallet.

Edit: What the effing ef? I just did the return process online and they don't want me to ship it back... On one hand it's convenient, on the other, I don't want this broken defective waste of space.

Someone who knows what they're doing can probably unscrew the body and replace the entire cord -- body's fine. For an $11 cord, I'm just going to chuck it at in e-waste bin next chance I get.

Internet is having issues in my area. Currently at dial-up speeds instead of 20 megs. It's unlivable. Can't stream Netflix. Can't surf. Youtube loads at 144p, which I didn't even know was an option D:

I think they even cut frames when you use 144p -- I use it for testing my crappy videos after uploading.

Must be a 1st world problem, sort of.

25y.o. applies for a loan. She doesn't work. Gets a $735 disability check for he son. Lives in government housing, EBT, etc....and she has 10 charge offs on her credit report (loans/car repos) not including public records for cable/cell phone.o_O

I think I'll give her some $$.

Something's going on there. Does your wife know?

About her "troubled daughter?" She's the one pressing for the loan. Transgender surgery doesn't come cheap, you know. :colbert:

TV news reported on Jimmy Fallon's finger accident and said not to google "ring avulsion."

Well, you really shouldn't tell people not to do things.

Don't look it up, it's disgusting -- I couldn't look away -- like a finger getting degloved. I'm never wearing an effing ring.

No, I did NOT google it.

At the hospital, he was told that he didn’t just break his finger — he had suffered from “ring avulsion,” something which Fallon advised you do not Google. (Really — don’t. Take our word for it. It’s a bad call.) Basically, his ring getting caught on the counter is what ripped his finger off — in a lot of cases, you end up losing the finger entirely.
Thanks to the doctors and nurses at Bellevue Hospital in New York City, however — and, in particular, a microsurgeon who implanted a vein from Fallon’s foot into his hand — the late-night host should be able to regain the feeling in his hand in eight weeks following six hours of surgery and 10 long days in the ICU.

I have plenty of experience with raging cunts, and my bushes are anything but. They quietly sit there, and give me blueberries when I ask. What are yours doing?
They want hair, they want nails, they want Coach, they want pumps.

Mix failed at horticulture. Can't even grow weed.

Hey, growing weed is an art. You need the right pH, the right blend of nutrients. If you're going hydro or aeroponic, you've got to check on your pumps and water level. Growin' weed ain't easy. :whiste:

Growing weed is the easiest thing in the world.

Growing shit loads of weed from minimal plants/floor space on the other hand is an artform.

I'm surrounded by self important, passive aggressive Minnesotans (that last bit may be redundant) harping on basically nonexistent problems.

Giving serious thought to setting the building on fire to escape.
