I email my tax lady for suggestions to save on my income tax. She responds....:( I think she's the devil.
:hmm: She is. Given this advice I can think of things right now that'll avoid more taxes, quite legally. Are you an S-corp or a C-corp; and whats your personal marginal tax bracket?

I'm assuming that you're in the 200k household range; and are butting up against the AMT because of kids/house/state tax?

Ordered an Atmel programmer off Amazon a month ago and it's STILL not in. I keep getting orders from previous months hoping it's that, and it's never it. I need to stop ordering from Amazon and go back with Ebay. I originally started ordering from Amazon thinking I was actually ordering from a retailer but it's basically like ebay except with slower shipping.

s corp. No mortgage. Charitble contributions are the largest deduction. Property tax is a joke...oh, shit...did I just say that? So I take the HSA, the minimal property tax, charitable, 529, 1 kid. Can't claim the ira. The business pays the health insurance premiums.

Almost like being single and taking it in the butt but I can afford the lube.

Back to the email that said I can get $70K of government $$ by working the system.....:hmm:
Jelly of the ninja, you are, fedex man.

:p

You can buy c-corp stock with your s-corp earnings, which is a non-taxable event for the c-corp.

Then the c-corp can then pay dividends and you only pay at the capital gains rate.

I recommend you talk to someone from a real tax-house, like KPMG, about structuring this kind of deal; they will be familiar with the case law on what bright-line tests you need to pass (for example, I know you need to make sure the s-corp owns less than 80% of the c-corp) and what informal tests you need to pass (for example, whatever a 'reasonable' salary is before passing through earnings on the s-corp).

Same problem here :'(

Last week I somehow cut the inside of my nose with my nose-mate. It's hell getting old.

I'm guessing you didn't disinfect the cut with alcohol since you're not complaining about it -- holy shit alcohol burned the inside of my nose for so long.

I use tiny scissors with rounded ends. Think they were meant for cutting nails -- came with a box of Q-Tips.

Received the dreaded email this morning - 'Your mailbox is almost full.' This means I have to deal with the help desk to increase my mailbox.... AGAIN. It's like dealing with Time Warner Cable customer service. They're atrocious.

I hate that shit. I usually end up forwarding it to myself with an updated subject in case I need to find/search for it in the future.

Yeah I do the same, but it's such a waste of time!

Forgot to deposit a check yesterday, now I have to walk 30 seconds to my bank branch to do it... some time today.

Ate WAY too much peanut butter with my celery as my snack this afternoon. An unsafe, un-healthy, non-human amount.

Got a recommendation? Looking for someone who won't blow my kneecaps off when I default.
If you're planning on defaulting, the knee cappers are the only people I would recommend. Gotta make an example out of someone.:p

not my first world problem, but I just spent an hour in physical therapy (in a wealthy/upscale town) listening to old ladies complaining about how heavy their Coach bags are because they're real leather/metal and not plastic/vinyl ("like the junk my daughter keeps buying")

Ninja postman doesn't ring at all.

I was sitting at my kitchen computer next to the front door when my email pinged. Open the message up - "package has been delivered". Walk over to the door. Big package there. No deliveryman.

Avira has been getting bigger and bigger since I installed ONLY the scanner as a back-up to my two active anti-virus/malware programs. Thing keeps updating itself despite me telling it not to, and I just found out it auto-installed the real-time protection yesterday. Since today, my Windows log-in screen needs a minute to load -- coincidence? No other windows updates installed since.
