My Amazon shipment got split into two shipments for some stupid reason. I ordered another Noctua fan and now it seems like it won't make it until next week. I was planning on putting in a new HDD and DVD drive this weekend:(. Now I'll have to wait to avoid going into my system twice:(.

Had that this week too. Ordered 4 pillows, two showed up Tuesday; the other two yesterday.

*facepalm* ordered some nice pillows from Amazon for the kids, they shipped my new wireless PCI-E card in the same box. Kids through it away after removing their pillows.

Checked tracking for the card today and found out it was in the same box :(

Ordered another one.

It took like a minute for me to get the cold water running from my stainless steel faucet. It's summer time so the ground has been heated for a couple months now and water comes out luke warm to flat out bubble bath temp.

I actually had not watched 60 minutes in many years.

I used to ever week, I'm currently digesting a few things there atm, it was a good one.

A few things made me stop and think that a few might not have picked up, but whatever I guess.

I used to do some work on these things, which are a bit different.

Terminal High Altitude Area Defense

More for ICBM's.

Iron Dome looks good for short ranged really slow missiles, I hope they do not become to fixated on that.

The fact the guy got all cocky about having it in place and they had developed it kinda pissed me off a bit, hardly better then shooting down a jet with a SAM really, where have we seen that lately.

Hamas missiles aren't even supersonic.

I'll just leave it at that, Israel shouldn't get all comfy watching fireworks just go off for very long I'd say.

Good for them for countering it, but they seem overly cocky about it a bit atm.

Those things Hamas fired are the babies of missile ordinance.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if this THAAD radar isn't tied into thier system all ready.

" Currently the only active foreign military installation on Israeli soil is the American AN/TPY-2 early missile warning radar station on Mt. Keren in the Negev desert."http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/THAAD#cite_note-25

Oh, FML. Amazon apparently split my order because they're shipping from the other side of the country again... I just had to get the ULN model instead of the FLX I already have.

I wish they would start saying where their stock is located -- we're not interconnected like the US of A, we essentially have one god damn highway leading from the west coast to the east with a huge detour around the Great Lakes and Rockies.

Had too much food leftover at dinner & had to take it home in a doggybag. Wanted to eat it all because it was good, but was too full to finish it.

Forgot to turn off my weekday alarm & woke up at 4:00 AM on a Saturday.

Was instantly awake due to the alarm and was hungry, so I ate my leftovers for breakfast at 4 in the morning. The universe has corrected itself! :awe:

I put my laptop hd into my work machine so I could use Xubuntu at work. I got my new ssd to put in the laptop yesterday, and I wanted to install this weekend. I didn't have time to image the old drive, so I have to start with a blank slate replacing my system. I got the essentials done, but I still have a few hours of nit-picky things left. fml...

Congrats and welcome to parenthood. Have you guys decided what prep school to register at?
:) Were shooting for Exeter

The wife is - or was until now - a university professor, so due to her lectures, the kiddo has already attended more college courses than most people.

Or the other way to spin it is to pad his resume to for his prep school application; enrolled in college level courses before he could read! Now we just need the money, clout, and lacrosse lessons to make an awesome prep school recruit.

In the midst of a drought (okay, that's second and third world problem) I have to catch the cold water in the shower in a bucket until the hot arrives. The water goes to the outdoor plants, but still.

Actually, should have been doing this all along, but now that I have to?
