The cup holder has a cover, when you open it on the back side a plastic bracket is supposed to flip up to secure things roughly the size of a can of soda. The plastic bracket in my car doesn't flip up, hence my first world problem.

We had that problem a lot in the Navy. The duty truck had a 35 gallon main and 30 gallon backup tank.
Guys were always running it down to until it sputtered and died. The government pumps on base had electronic keys and only let you get 25 gallons at a time. Such a hassle.

And if you went back three days in a row that set off an alert and the supply officer, CO, and transportation office all jumped on your ass.
