Sure...but all too often, you buy a disk and install the content...then there are a fuck-ton of updates/patches as well as any resource files that have to be downloaded.
That's what they're talking about.

yeah but I am talking about my problem, not their problem. In essence, it never got the resource files in the first place.

This got better... Never got an email confirmation email. Try resend still nothing. Try login from game and says account doesn't exist. But I can login to the website where I am supposed to create account...
Then I try linking to Steam. Confirmed in Steam I want to link, didn't get linking instruction email from game either...

I was all excited that somebody PM'd me. Then it turned out to be the "This week on the forums" weekly digest.

Microsoft added commercials to the Solitare game that ships with Win10. I uninstalled it. Bill Gates really is the devil.
I keep a copy of classic sol.exe and winmine.exe on my thumbdrives and such... the OLD ones.

FFS just got force rebooted AGAIN at work. Ever since the pandemic they have been super aggressive with this. Pisses me off so much.

What pisses me off even more is they won't let us work at home 100% of the time, they want at least 1 person in the office in case the VPN goes down so there's no down time, but guess what, these reboots cause over 45 minutes of downtime. Bunch of idiots.

Time to start reopening all my stuff again...

At least I still have a job, so there's that.

I still have the old '98 wincalc.exe that I use at work, since the Windows 10 calculator annoys me. Though I do like the Programmer function of the Windows 10 calculator where it displays the hex, decimal, octal, and binary values all at the same time.

Bought a microSD card. Had trouble openning the stupid packaging, had to use a pair of sissors to cut it open. In trying to cut the package open the thing suddenly flew apart and the contents flew out. The useless SD adaptor thing fell directly on the floor in front of me, but the actual micro SD card just popped out of existence completely before it even hit the floor. Somehow God set the memory pointer to it to null and it completely ceased to exist in this universe. Two hours searching the floor for it and there was no trace of it. It's not even a carpetted floor, there is no logic to this, no way it could not be there somewhere, yet there is no trace of the thing.

Probably slipped deeper into the packaging and it's wedged between the paper layers.

I lost a pex pipe crimp check tool the same way in the basement while I was running a pex line. I dropped it, and it pretty much ceased to exist. I never found it to this day, even after going through several basement cleanups.

I got some cucumber/pear seltzer water from aldi yesterday, get home, look at the label, and it has fuckin' caffeine in it. I don't have a problem with caffeine. I drink tons of coffee, but when I get water, I want water. ''"Energize" all the things!' is for children :^S

Walked into our favorite bar in town to have dinner...found out the manager who has been here forever...quit last week, unexpectedly. The entire night shift...cooks and servers...all quit rather than work with the.person hired by the owner...they're trying to train a couple of new cooks...with very limited success.

Frickin toes cramping when working out. They'll sometimes do it if I curl them, just to like stretch them out (like cracking knuckles kinda) but it most often happens when working out, and the exercises don't even involve feet.

I guess it's due to dehydration, from what I've read, but Christ that's a lot of water to drink then. It's not like my pee is bright yellow or I have headaches, other signs of dehydration.

I've been trying to drink more, but like food, that's easier said than done for me.

Trying to drill a simple hole through a tree, this should be a 5 minute job. Linemen do it all the time on hydro poles from on top of a ladder. For whatever reason I just can't get it to work. Auger bit, as usual, just decides to stop working half way through. Turns, and nothing happens. I never have good luck with those things. So I went to buy some spade bits, barely made it in and it literally got itself fused. Even my big drill won't take it out. I'll have to take it out with the angle grinder. WTF? Why is this so hard? I just want to make a freaking hole.

Going to just go ahead and cut this tree I think. I was trying to see if I can drill a hole through it then brace it with threaded rod, but for some stupid reason I just can't make a simple hole. These bits are freaking expensive to keep buying too. I don't know why I'm having so much trouble making a simple hole.

I get that too sometimes but it's the whole foot, it feels like the toes are trying to curve the wrong way and the whole foot muscle cramps and twists right up. It's insane painful, I find it usually happens in or after showering after doing anything physical. Also happens when I go in the lake but only the first time of the year that I go in the lake.

Might be the wet wood Squirrel. I've never drilled a tree, but I'd try the auger bit. Make sure it's sharp, and keep the chips clear. Cut a little, clear the hole, cut some more.

Yeah auger bit is what I tried, even in 2x4s I never have luck with those, they just stop drilling and spin freely. I tried to put my whole body weight on it (all 140 lbs of it :p ) and it's still not going anywhere, it just spins and heats up. Tried a spade which is what I usually use for electrical and stuff as it actually goes through faster but it completely jammed up. The bit is still in there, it's not coming out. On a day I don't work I will have to try to see if I can somehow dig out the bit that is stuck just to get it back but I think I will consider this a write off and end up cutting the tree down. I could try to strap it, but with what. I don't really know what I would use for that. I don't think rachet straps would be strong enough. Maybe I can use two 2x4's on each side then the threaded rod but that's going to look kind of bad. Who would have known drilling a hole would be this hard.

I'm only guessing, but I'm thinking the auger wasn't sharp enough, and you perhaps went in too fast. I've never used them on a power drill, only a bit brace, and that necessarily limits your speed.
