For the past month, the bathrooms in my floor in the building I work in (and sometimes other floors and like yesterday, ALL the bathrooms in the building) have been out of order, six different days in the past month, apparently because of idiots flushing paper towels and other shit down the toilets (I heard yesterday they found paper coffee cups, plastic bottles). How fucking stupid can you get? Fricking people.

Aaaaand the bathrooms on my floor are down again.

On a new Electricity plan for this year and I forgot that I have a $60 credit that kicks in when I use between 1000-1499 kWh in billing cycle.

I used 981 kW so I missed my credit by 19 kW...my $118 bill would have been $58...If I would have just run some extra loads of laundry or something...

They seem to be providing the wrong incentive. Cash back should decrease the more you use.

yeah that is what I would I have though...the credit goes down $30 between 1500-1999...

there are actually alot of plans that have extra fees (like around $10-20) if you don't meet the minimum use (typically 500 kwh)...

That's crazy talk. I just looked at my bill out of curiosity. I have budget billing, and I prepay my bill $500 at a time(lasts ~1/2yr), so I'm not tuned into how much I use. I peaked at 480kwh this past August. November I used 257kwh.

i don't know why windows loves attempting to play sound on my monitor. doesn't seem to matter how many times i disable sound from both "amd/nvidia audio out' and also 'hd audio controller' on pci location __ device 0 function 1, windows will somehow revert to enabling it and playing sound over the monitor. which, being a monitor, doesn't have speakers.

same with enabling wake on mouse movement.

For some reason, lately (say the past month or three weeks) I've had a reduced appetite. I don't know why. I did have a reduced appetite this summer/fall when I was having issues with GERD but I took Prilosec for a while and it hasn't come back (plus I have no pain like I did, which accompanied the appetite loss). Fricking sucks because that's the last goddamn thing my skinny ass needs. Man I wish there was an appetite pill that made you hungry. I'd eat those mother fuckers like candy. fml

one of my VMs was running windows 1803 still (!?!) so i've been trying to update it. i downloaded the windows iso at the end of last month from MS and had burned it to a dvd. well, it wouldn't install, said it reverted. so i told it to install and not keep anything. it didn't keep anything, and i did all the setup stuff, and it's still at 1803. wtf. i was 99% certain that i'd burned the new windows iso to the dvd, but maybe not, so i downloaded it again, burned it, installed it, and checked the version. 1803. wtf? we're on 1909. so i figured out how to check the version on the dvd, and it says 1903 (again, i just downloaded it with the 1909 media creation tool, no idea why it downloaded 1903 instead of 1909). why is 1903 installing 1803?

well, while i was doing that, the VM (since it had all the automatic crap on) downloaded the feature update and said it was ready to install. so i let it do that, it comes back on saying it has the latest feature update, but when i check it's at 1903.

how the hell do i get 1909 on here?

Smells like something died in here omg. The evening shift guy always has like this 20 course microwave meal and I don't know WTF he's eating now but it smells pretty much the same as when an animal dies and the body has been sitting in a warm place for a few days. I have one hour left here to try not to vomit before I can go home.

I actually had to bail my desk, that was rancid. Went into the DSLAM room just to get some fresh air. It just so happened the cleaning lady came in and we chit chatted for a while so that killed some time.

This guy is so quirky in general though, I could probably write a book on him. He's not technically my coworker, basically we bought out another company years ago so we got 3 employees that work in our office now but they still do their own stuff, and we only take it over after midnight.

I don't really get annoyed that easily but this guy just seems to do everything to be annoying lol. Nobody actually likes him because of his weirdness.

I do not care for Android 10. My phone said an update was available a couple days ago and I had Android 9.

Now I have to enter my Pin or use the thumb scan on the lock screen every time (though if it recognizes me I think it unlocks, but the recognition system on my S10 is worse than on my S8+ which was great, sigh).

Also now Nord VPN is blocking a bunch of shit (and I just updated too) including YouTube (sometimes) and Google Maps (always). I'll never renew my subscription for it; it's such a pain in the fucking ass with blocking legit stuff. For the longest time it was blocking the Unity game dev software on my Surface Pro until I figured it out finally.

Haha and now it looks like it has actually unblocked Gmail which never used to be able to check for mail unless I actually opened the app (it was blocked in the background by Nord). I've been getting new email notifications since the Android upgrade. Lol
