LED Christmas lights *could* be great but they use the most low quality LED modules, and they don't bother rectifying or filtering it. Such fail. C9s could easily be replicated but with LED so they don't burn out so fast, but instead they are just too low light, and most of them flicker at 60hz. you can plug them in a full bridge rectifier to get them to flicker at 120hz instead so they seem a tad brighter and arn't as hard on the eyes.

One of these days I need to experiment with injection molding and addressable LED modules. Could attempt to make my own strings.

Yep, most Christmas lights suck. I bought a bunch of string lights for my tree and stairs, and I went with the incandescent bulbs as the LEDs just look bad and were ~2x the price.

I was in Lowe's and they had some nice-looking C9/C5 LED lights that had much more of an incandescent look, but they're expensive - $40 for a string of 100. I'd need like six of them and there's no way I'm paying over $200 just to light my front porch.

I've been using the same crappy LED string lights for the outside for six or seven years. I might ditch them this year and just go with outdoor incandescent.

My bank will no longer support electronic deposit of checks w/o using their app so I can't scan/photograph and deposit checks from the PC anymore. Bastards.

I have a few extra strands of LED lights that I cannibalize to keep my sets fully lit. The only benefit to LEDs is that I find it easier to find the dead bulbs, but they seem to die more frequently.

Mother fucker. I just had to dump out an entire bowl of cereal cause the milk I just opened for the first time, with a sell by date of 12/12 on it, tastes spoiled.

I've had this happen before but not 4 days earlier than the date, but 2 days, and on the date of. Wtf? It ain't my fridge temp either, that's fine (one of these times it happened at work from their fridge too).

It actually seems to occur when the milk is left sitting for an extended period, not opened and used now and again. Like if the milk was opened after purchase and a cup of it was used, and then it sat unused until a couple days before the date, or if the milk was never opened and like today it sat until I opened it a bit ago. I dunno it probably makes no sense but that's the common denominator between my experiences.

IT upgraded my work computer and moved me to Office 365. Now the default location for saving files is f'in' OneDrive. I f'in' f'in' hate OneDrive and furthermore, company policy dictates where we save files (very structured system) and OneDrive ain't the place, ever. The default can't be changed so I have to navigate back to the proper drives every freaking time.

Office 365 keeps posting notifications telling me to download language support for languages I'll never use. F'off is a natural language command that MS chose not to implement.

Naw the cereal was good actually. After I expectorated my first mouthful of cerealmilk I decided to take a sip of milk just to double check. Yup it was the milk.

I'd maybe try a different brand of milk, I just get the store brand, but there's only that store brand in the 1/2 gallon and sometimes quart ones I buy. I don't really feel like going to a whole other store just to get a dang 1/2 gallon of milk. But maybe I'll try it cause mother f'er. fml

most of the store brands seem to have a 2-3 week expiration date, but surprisingly, one name brand I found this year has always got a "best by" date that's 6-8 weeks out...but ONLY in their paper 1/2 gallon sizes...their plastic gallon jugs are the same 2-3 weeks. I bought a 1/2 gallon container yesterday with a date of 02/01/20...and it's not just "marketing," I'll often go weeks without using any Milk...and so far, it's been good right up to the date.

Dang that's pretty nice.

Well I just looked on their website and they do have two other brands (one of them don't have the quart version though) but I'd be playing 2-3x more to try those. One of them is in the paper 1/2 gallon actually. Meh maybe I'll try them for poops and giggles.

The name brand I didn't name is Darigold...it's a Northwest brand AFAIK.

For some stupid reason I've been getting this error, starting maybe a couple weeks or so ago, when I try to use Google Maps from a desktop PC. Using it on my phone seems to work though.

Oh I just tried typing in one of the addresses instead of choosing the saved name "Work" and that worked. Weird

Yesh, that sucks. Yeah I know man. Every so often I think to myself "wow, I am so glad/lucky to be born to the parents I was born to, in the place I was, in the time I was." For sure.

Although I kinda wish I could go like 10000 years into the future and see what things are like then. Forget what I said, I was born too m-f'in early damnit

I think we are at peak humanity, well actually the early 2000's probably were. Now stuff is going downhill. Would not want to go too far in the future. Just climate change alone is going to cause some serious changes to the way we live.

Thanks for the snow shovel stock tip.

Buy stocks in aerospace construction companies. Airtight buildings will be a thing in the future as the outside pollution will be too bad. We'll be building "space stations" on land.

Some places like China and India are so bad already that people are breathing out of canned air. Clean air is literally turning into a commodity. https://www.cnbc.com/2015/12/15/canadians-are-selling-cans-of-fresh-air-to-china.html

Problem is, Earth is a closed system, all that pollution will affect us too over time. With all the solid pollution like plastic (and spent air cans probably) going in the ocean it's also killing off the plankton which helps clean the air. It's not just trees that do that. But the amazon is almost all gone which does provide a good majority of oxygen as far as plants go. The earth is being slowly suffocated.

I agree we peaked at around the year 2000. It has been all downhill since ~2002-2003. The majority of the US lost its mind after 9/11.

My tenant owes me money.

The money owed is far more than what it would cost to get it back via legal avenues.

And, if I do head the legal route, he can just pay me back and the lease is back to being valid. So, I have to put up with this bullshit for 8 months and a 'quick' eviction is not possible.

I can't wait to kick this piece of shit out.

For the past month, the bathrooms in my floor in the building I work in (and sometimes other floors and like yesterday, ALL the bathrooms in the building) have been out of order, six different days in the past month, apparently because of idiots flushing paper towels and other shit down the toilets (I heard yesterday they found paper coffee cups, plastic bottles). How fucking stupid can you get? Fricking people.

People are really dumb and inconsiderate. I always see gum in the urinals at work even though there's a garbage bin three feet away right next to the sinks.

lol, I saw a yellow corn kernal and a pea in the urinal a couple days ago. I was like... wat. The whole thing is definitely a SMH situation.
