Spent more time debugging a stupid script today then I spent writing it in the first place, all because I forgot how pass-by-reference works. FML.

Just go thit with the firefox extension bug on my work laptop. All my extensions are gone completely (not even disabled, all gone) and I can't re-install them, I get some weird network error. I'll have to google and figure out the fix later.

Also thank God for ad blockers I can't imagine this internet experience being the norm.

I'm new to a smart phone, under serious duress, wtfbbq? It's useless out of the box. The blocker app helps but eff it for an all day device. And this is all some people use?

No wonder people are sitting at stop lights, waiting for shit to load.

Yep. Apple can suck it for an $800 device. This LG, the size of my kid's apple 7, was $115. And, OMG, 2G of data that I never run out of....aliens.

My primary is still my kyocera flip. I just needed to see the cameras at Moms.

Try this for adblocking without root...

https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.jak_linux.dns66/

Uses a local vpn to filter traffic, and adservers in the blocklists you select will get filtered out via dns.

I don't understand it either. A tiny touch screen is never going to be better than a large screen with a keyboard and mouse. To me the advantage of phone/tablets is the mobile aspect and having some level of portability while still having access to the web or even VPNing to your house to check stuff, but for usability nothing beats a computer.

The wife just said that she'd get phone access on her ipad before she dropped the $800. Yea, wife. Hell, ipad pro 13" is only $1100....lolol only

I love my phone, but pretty much all I use it for is work stuff, and reading on the internet. It's great for its size, but I'm always happy to get on a real computer with a real keyboard.

I'm an "application developer" at work but it seems (especially lately) like I do more App Support/IT stuff than I do development. Jeez I hardly do any programming! And then when I do, it'll be f'ing VB6 instead of .NET (we have both types of apps to support). Ugh. I'm pretty sure I'm jumping ship later this year. I hate to do it to my co-workers (company has refused to hire two devs that we lost TWO YEARS ago still) cause I really like them, but oh well, gotta look out for #1.

So turns out the Leeroy Jenkins video is fake! 14 years later... I find this out. I feel cheated. Was some kind of promotion for the guild or something and it's just an acting skit.

I very briefly tried a sewing machine my mother has, but she didn't know how to operate it, and I didn't have the patience to look it up. I just do things by hand. Quick hack jobs that serve the purpose, but aren't particularly skillful.

Day 4 of Fathead not showing up for breakfast. I'm hoping he's ok. Spot didn't come this morning either. She's a nice cat. Lets me pick her up, and full of purrs. Only had Spaz and Mom come today. Spaz is an idiot. Mom's nice, and friendly when I have food to offer, but a little standoffish.

Had to change some power outlets and the previous electrician used the back stab connections. Always a pain to deal with. I can never find something small but rigid enough that can fit in the back to release it so I end up having to cut and restrip the wire.

Dang dude that is some bullshit. I still find it hilarious but that is a bummer. Frickin fakes.

I have a $10 Bestbuy reward certificate. Wanted to buy a USB cable for $9.99 but I can't because the value of the cable is less than the value of the reward certificate. I can't find anything else on the BB website that I would actually need.
