What first world problem did you have today?

For today's FWP: I have an ADS-B receiver in the mail that has been sitting at a warehouse 4 hours from here since the weekend. I was hoping it would come here yesterday but guess they have a backlog of packages at that facility from the weekend and did not get to it yet. It's still sitting at that same facility. I really want to play around with this thing.

Went into our office supply cabinet to find a blank DVD and found nothing but blank floppy disks. Jesus Hume.

Oh ya... Been like that for years. During the 2000s, the offices I worked at had tons of blank DVDs and CDs. In the 2010s, had to ask the admins to order them or rummage the building. Everyone had USB drives by then and network drives or corporate "drop boxes."

We have a fax machine in our office and the only time it gets used is when people send us unsolicited advertising. I've never see anyone actually use the fax machine.

The best ones use half a toner cartridge turning an entire page black.

Was given a $75 gift card for TJ Maxx as "severance" from my job being terminated. On the one hand it stings that I gave the place four years of my life and this is all I have to show for it. On the other hand I can appreciate even a token gift given that the whole reason why I'm no longer there in the first place is due to the disastrous funds situation, but I literally can't find ANYTHING I would ever want at TJ Maxx. I can't even flip it because they sell no gift cards for other retailers like every other retailer does... Even a Walmart gift card would be something I could have flipped to Ebay. sigh.

They have nice socks and interesting gourmet foods this time of year. Marshalls is better, but I like tjmaxx too.

yea i pay 80 for, 300 min and 1000 txt, i never used more then 100 minutes in 13 years,

i use 40 gigs on average every month

a tiered plan that large would more then double the cost of my bill, ill live with paying an extra cpl $ when i send a few extra txts

Turned on the heat for the first time today. It was 52 when I got home, and they were calling for a chilly night. I was thinking about letting it go awhile so a fire would feel extra good tomorrow, but didn't want to wake up cold, and my cats don't lime cold much. I set the thermostat to 54 for the time being.

An expensive med issued to me today said I cannot drink alcohol while taking this med. It is an on-going med, not something like an antibiotic. That is a lifestyle change that I cannot handle--nor my wife.

I had to brush snow off my car before coming to my night shift, and it was cold enough that I actually had to wear gloves. If the snow plow passes over night it means I will need to clear the snow bank using the snow blower before I can park tomorrow morning.
