I'm having to go round and round with Veterans Choice to get care outside of my local VA clinic. The clinic didn't send the right request to them for authorization of care so they won't provide it until they do. Getting the correction has been like pulling hens teeth and I'm at it again today so I can get the care I need. Be thankful if you have a good insurance plan that takes care of you before you fall apart.

Ordered an Old Fashioned when out at dinner, and the fuckers gave me like 15 ice cubes in it...

I once bought an old fashioned from some place that only tasted of the shitty tap water they used for their ice cubes. From that day forward, I only buy bottles of beer unless I know the bartender is up to snuff.

The new microwave at work is less wattage than the old one and my food is taking longer to heat.

The microwave at my residence is too powerful. I put 3 minutes to warm up dinner and it was burning the dish. My thumb got burned from touching the porcelain dish and it still bothering me now.

My system is being a bitch again. Every once in a while it likes acting up like freezing on shut down, freezing a few minutes after booting up, and not boosting the CPU fan speed.

It's like I should update the BIOS but the system's like 7 years old and I can't be bothered anymore. Waiting for it to die pretty much.

Battlefield 1 is unlocking at midnight tonight but I'll only be able to play for like an hour cause I need to get sleep for work tomorrow. I might've even taken tomorrow off (lulz) but I'm smart and have used up all my time off this year already (with only a few days left that I need to use for Christmas). FML

That's tonight?

I've been watching beta GIFs on the interwebs for a while. Looks interesting, not sure I'd pay full price.

I have too many toys which means between maintenance on everything, I have no time to enjoy what I have. I didn't get around to winterizing the jetskis or boat this weekend, and will be busy camping or at a class for the next 3 weekends in a row. By then, it will be freezing outside. It's going to take 3-4 hours to winterize the boat I imagine between running it for 10 minutes to warm it up, sucking the oil out, replacing the oil, draining the outdrive, refilling the outdrive, fogging everything, changing the fuel filter, cleaning it all up fully, putting mothballs EVERYWHERE so rats dont get in and chew up stuff, etc. Then there are the jetskis to winterize, the various cars to maintain, etc. This time of year sucks because its when all the maintenance for winter comes due.

It is for the Early Access. I think the normal date is this Friday (Thursday midnight).

I had a blast playing the open beta so I'm really looking forward to it. I normally get fucking raped in BF games, though I was fairly decent at BF2 and 1942. And I did get smoked in BF1 at first but even in the short time I played the beta I started doing better.

Whenever I type "python", I add a 'g' on the end about 50% of the time.

Which makes programming in pythong rather difficult.

Currently feeling sad that my home connection is only ~40 Mb/s. Working at a customer site today & ran a speed test after hooking up the networking:

I'm about ready to throw my phone at the wall due to the mess that the Stock Android Keyboard has become with it's auto-correct. I type the word correctly and I have to choose the word from the list? Isn't that the wrong way it is supposed to work? o_O

Speaking of stock android keyboard, WTF does it need access to my files? And why does it keep trying to install a Korean and Indict (no idea what that is?) keyboard. I've been denying those updates for a while now but it's annoying.

I really need to find a custom rom, I've been trying to get rid of as much google stuff as I can but given Android is a Google product it's something kind of hard to do. I just don't like the whole idea that they could be spying on me at any given time and I would not know it. Activating the mic, camera etc. Not to mention tracking all my usage and stuff.

Speaking of Android phones, I am using one with stock 5.0.2 right now and I am not impressed. I like my old Windows 8 phone better, performance, touch screen, response time, etc. Everything were as good or better than this Android phone. Not sure why Windows phones did not do well at all again Android and iPhones.

I ran over a bunny on the way into work today. That's second fuzzy I've ever hit driving, with the other being a squirrel earlier this year :^(

I am proud to say I have lived in CT for almost 20 years & have never run over a squirrel. It's a miracle!

Sorry for your easter bunny loss :(

I replaced my home microwave earlier this year from an enormous awesome one to a compact one because I really needed the space. It's complete garbage. I hate it :(

I came so close to hitting a squirrel when I was camping this summer. It just came right out of nowhere, thankfully I was going slow since it was a narrow gravel road, but it happened so fast I never even slowed down.

Had lot of close calls but so far I've been lucky enough to not hit anything.

Driving home from my mother's scares me. The trip's on a high speed rural highway, and you can see all the deer waiting for the right car to jump in front of. There's always dead deer on the side of the road. The closest I've come so far is a deer running a couple hundred feet in front of my truck.

My parents had a huge Panasonic "The Genius" overhead one, it was practically as old as I was since the house was built around the time I was born and it was original to the house. It finally died several years back and I helped my mom install a new one of similar size. I would have loved to see the old one but they got rid of it before I knew. Knowing how heavy duty stuff of that era was built, it probably weighed a ton too.

I miss how well everything used to be built. I have a Champion juicer, which is advertised to live something like 30+ years & has been around (same model pretty much) for longer than that iirc, but that's about the only kitchen appliance out of a few dozen I own that I really feel will last. My cast iron stuff, yeah. But appliances? Nah. Even my replacement oven (got a flat-top) doesn't feel like it's going to last beyond maybe 10 years max.
