Got an alert notice that first class award seats became available. Got really excited, logged in and saw it was only a single seat, not two. Will probably be stuck in business class for the flight.

Surely the wife will let you have the seat, right?

She was there when I saw the email and when I said "Damn - there's only one seat" she glared at me and said "You're not leaving me alone in business class asshole."

Very often people buy into an existing small business just to buy themselves a job... which is fine if you couldn't get a better job elsewhere and you love what you'll be doing.

But being the Big Boss doesn't really put you in charge, it actually makes you the servant of all.

The half-assed valuation I thought people used was something like 15 times earnings -- 15 x 6% = 105% ~= 100%. Roughly the opportunity cost of investing in a balanced portfolio with the same amount of money. After looking at all the rents and minimum wage in the area, that actually might not be too far off from the $100k to $200k prices.

And ya, start your own business = everyone's bitch. Instead of keeping a boss happy, you have to keep every customer happy.

You have to deduct the opportunity costs associated with the loss of the person selling. Then some multiple of EBITDA for buyouts; but this is small potatoes. People buy just for the honor of being called "boss".

To reach 400 unique NES titles, I'll probably have to buy Othello.
Othello is a fun game!

This is a better choice though: Spot

I dropped the floss container on the bathroom floor. It didn't hit the toilet or the "drop zone" but it went into a corner that I wasn't comfortable with.

If it did hit the toilet zone, I'd have thrown it out. Didn't feel like wiping it down would have been adequate, so I took the floss roll out of the container and cut it into single-use lengths, stored it in a plastic lunch container.

damn it.. the reason why the stock went down 50% is because when it was up +100%, the company issued more shares!

shareholder dilution :(

how/why is this even legal?!

Damn internet... I found out that I could squeeze blackheads out from googling. I tried it with a pair of tweezers and got a bunch on my nose out. Now my nose hurts from the squeezing. I should probably buy the proper blackhead removal tool for $15.

Biore strips - they yank them out by the root. Don't ask me how but they work.

It helps if you check your diet, some foods cause a massive increase in black spots on the nose.
To get rid of it : Sweating works best. A good work out or a sauna.
And to use anti bacterial soap on a regular basis to clean your skin. Especially after sweating.
Drink at least 1 liter of water a day next to your other beverages.

And squeeze your nose with your fingers and wash after with anti bacterial soap.
Rinse and repeat for a few days. Profit.

Tried them years ago. They were awesome at getting whiteheads and shallow blackheads out, but the big ones that bothered me most wouldn't move. The tweezers actually got a few of those buried deep ones out. Missed a few though, probably had a layer of skin grown over that really kept them in place.

That sounds like a lot of work... Maybe I should just grow a new clean nose on my forehead and replace the dirty one I have now.

Fuqing aye, that settles that: I'm buying that blackhead removal tool just to minimize the likelihood that I end up like that.

P.S. I read that non-toxic, kids, white glue is better than Biore strips at removing blackheads... A decade ago, I would have tried that, but something about it seems wrong. Bla bla bla, not a doctor, not telling you to huff glue, not my problem if you dedz.
