Can feel your pain and stress. Just did that, or still currently doing that.
Moved 45 mins from wisconsin to mn.
Soo much stuff. Selling my farm, so have all the equipment to deal with. Still heading back to old house to prep for sale and move things.
Ooof

Fortunately, we're just in a 1 bedroom with an office. Living in an apartment has some perks, including not having enough space to accumulate too many things.

Good luck with the move. I've moved more than 25 times, but fortunately been stable where I'm at for a while now. I really need a small house on a lot of flat land with a big workshop, but instead I have a big house on a lot of unusably steep land. Having movers is so very nice.

I can't imagine moving that often, that would be a pain in the ass having to keep starting life over so often. I prefer stability. The next time I move it will be to my off grid land, and that will be the last time I move. It's also not that far away so still close to family and what not.

It’s mental health appreciation day. A coworker went off his meds this afternoon, literally, and started telling people how he really feels. 😁

Then I got a call from a person who found a huge vein of gold in a national park. The caller was concerned that it was toxic and that people would pick up the gold. I told the caller that gold isn’t toxic so the caller then wanted to buy the land. I explained that it was not for sale because it was a national park (not yet, anyway). The caller then wanted know who to call since my answer was not acceptable. The caller decided to call the park. :) The entire conversation was about forty five seconds as the caller was manic and shooting off the thoughts and questions like a machine gun of dumb.

I also had to explain to two different coworkers why their timesheets could not be correct. They had both entered sixteen hours of work within a twelve hour period. It was literally “I worked from 6am to 6pm for a total of 16 hours.” Chronos wept.

I spent two weeks with a heart monitor (holter monitor) "glued" to my chest. Took it off and mailed it in to the monitor company a couple of weeks ago. FINALLY got the results from my cardiologist today.

Results
Patient had a min HR of 49 bpm, max HR of 124 bpm, and avg HR of71bpm.

Predominant underlying rhythm was Sinus Rhythm.

First Degree AV Block was present. Isolated SVEs were rare (<1.0%), SVE Couplets were rare (<1.0%), and no SVE Triplets were present. Isolated VEs were rare(<1.0%), and no VE Couplets or VE Triplets were present. Conclusion: Underlying rhythm was sinus. No significant pathological arrhythmias identified.
The "first degree AV block concerned me...until I spoke to the cardiology department and was told it was fairly common...especially in us "well aged" people...and that it's not really anything to be concerned about.

Proved my wife wrong though...she's told me I'm a heartless bastard for decades.

Not exactly my own problem but roofers laid out a whole course of shingles, realized a few bundles were wrong colour and have to redo that whole section. Doh! At least they noticed early enough.

I've been Having light flicker issues in my room for a while. This morning I go get something to eat. I come back home and notice my lights aren't working. Neither are half my outlets.

So I start unplugging the 6 outlet wall surge protector on an outlet. The green lights showing it's getting power are flickering while I do this.

I get it off and find this on the wall outlet...

Stupid fckn breaker didnt kick off either. Quite fortunate a fire didn't start.

Fckn electrician in the late 90s ran shit to breakers without any rhyme or reason in the bedrooms. FFS

Oh, I forgot the 6 outlet thing had a plastic piece sticking out to go in the ground of the bottom outlet to stabilize it.

Not really liking how the top white wire has that darkened color an inch into the wire...

Do not use the backstabs on those cheap outlets. Replace it and curl around the side screws. Also going to want to remove/trim back any of that wiring that is charred.

Ohh backstab yeah that explains it, those tend to get loose over time. Might be worth checking all your other outlets too and if they are backstabbed redo them all. May as well replace them all with decora style ones while you're at it, they are cheap enough.

Nah, there's other people in the household that will notice the lights flickering then going out.
