I tried to call one of the clients affected by our fibre issue to let them know it's back up, and I got a message from a sexy sounding chick saying that they have a discount for anyone over 50. I'm pretty sure the number they gave me is wrong, and that was NOT an ISP. Definitely a service provider, but not an internet service provider. I'll call that number again later tonight if I'm bored.

That's the site's fault, and yes, it's a huge pissoff. I don't use the browser password mechanism most of the time. I usually use a discreet password manager, and I can tailor it to exactly what the site's looking for, but it's an annoying hassle to have to do so. By default, the only restriction I have on password characters is stuff that's difficult to hand type on a standard US keyboard that I may not own. Otherwise, I have everything turned on.

I've been seeing lot of people getting their FB account hacked, I thought I had a strong enough password but just got mine hacked too. Although I don't really know if they even need the password to hack it, it's some kind of vulnerability they're using to clone accounts. Just changed my password now to be safe though.

Signed up for AAA last night, since this morning I've gotten 3 "are you interested in home insurance?" emails, 4 robo texts from 4 different agents who want to discuss adding shit. Each one I texted STOP and BOOM I'd get one from a different person. And 3 phone calls from who I can only guess are agents there, as nobody else has my new phone number.

1 message, fine, you want to offer me auto/home insurance. But holy shit they're spamming me, this is annoying as fuck.

Went to my off grid land, and brought my dad, and last minute we ended up taking his vehicle since we also brought one of my uncles and my truck only sits 2. All the misc stuff that I use at the property is in my truck as I don't have to try to remember each time to bring it. Needless to say once we got there I realized I forgot the lighter because it was in my truck. Couldn't start a fire. DOH. Everything is wet, so not even worth trying to use friction methods. My dad's car also doesn't have a cigarette lighter as I had thought of that too.

Worse part is, I keep meaning to buy an ammo box so I can put a lighter, paper and kindling in it, and just leave it over there, but I keep forgetting.

Still had a good time though, I showed them around, we got some wood cut and when we came back to town I showed them around my old work building where all the switching equipment is. They thought that was pretty cool. It was also kinda nostalgic for myself being in there, as I had not been in like a year.

Reminds me of when I bought my truck, I was getting that but from XM Radio. Was getting harassed for like a year by them. Emails, phone calls, and regular mail. No, I am not paying a monthly fee for radio.

My hot tub pump is displaying an error code, and changing the filter doesn't get rid of it. So I may have to drain the hot tub and disconnect it to see if somehow something got in there and clogged it.

I think the code means "stop farting in the water"

My car stopped working about when COVID hit, and I just was too lazy to care about it. It's been sitting in the driveway since 2020, 3 weeks ago I decided it's past time to start working on it. So I ordered a few things to get the process rolling. BOOM a week later we got a letter from the city, some neighbor decided to report it as an eyesore and I was given 2 weeks to have it moved. But my roommate forgot to tell me about the letter until 5 days had already passed. And now I have 3 left to have out the driveway or it'll get towed. While I don't blame whichever neighbor it was, I was about 4 weeks away from having it fixed. What great fuckin timing for them to decide to call and complain. It's my fault for being a lazy ass and procrastinating.

It's gonna cost me an arm and a leg to get running, so someone kindly offered to get me a battery while they were at Costco the other day, sweet. But I found out they don't sell the battery I need anymore LOL.

A good thing, I found a website called neighbor.com where you can rent space to store cars and shit. So at least I have somewhere to put the car until I have everything to fix it and it won't possibly get towed in the meantime.

I know most here careers, savings accounts and stocks and bonds and shit. I need a damn savings account with some savings in it so I'm not struggling to accomplish basic shit. 1st the city threatens to tow my car and than Trump somehow wins reelection, this month is a poopoo platter of bullshit indeed.

That karen is a POS for reporting you. People need to mind their own business. If the car has 4 tires on it and looks in a shape that it could run, I would just make sure it has plates on it and is registered and has insurance. I don't think they would be able to do anything at that point right?

If it was running and had tags they could kiss my ass for all I care. But I learned that with expired tags, even if it's in your drive way, the city can still tow you. I don't think this is very common, but with them coming to check it out even if it's moved they'll check the tags. I can't get tags until I get it smogged, and I can't get it smogged until I get it fixed. The place I found on neighbor.com is a fenced in backyard lot so it'll be safe from Karens.

They said they couldn't release the info on who ratted on me. Which makes sense, I don't want to start any shit and I don't want to get it impounded which would end up costing a ton. So fuck it the Karen wins this one.

Oh damn sounds like a crappy situation then. They really make things hard on purpose it seems. Was going to say just get the tags but guess they won't even let you do that. At least you managed to find a spot so that's good.

I want to order some knäckebröd and shipping is gonna be $122 on a $70 order. I'm idling on the order page trying to decide how much I really want this. That's a lot of damned money for a box of crackers.

edit:
Fuck it. The money isn't gonna spend itself. I have a $200 box of crackers coming to me...

I had to look this up. I love rye bread so sounds good. Are you trying this for the first time? I guess you can't find the real thing on Amazon.

Amazon is what got me to push the [Buy] button. Even factoring in "free" shipping, it would cost more than getting it from Sweden, and the site I ordered from has vastly more expansive collection. I've had some of it before from distressed merchandise sellers. It shows up here on rare occasions, and I don't know where it comes from; perhaps the midwest with their large Scandinavian population. *I've never seen it on a regular grocerystore shelf.

There was a couple brands of julknäcke I wanted that were out of stock, and one had very limited quantities available(I bought 2 of the 3 left), so I jumped on it now. I also got a bunch of others I haven't had before.

*Wasa is regularly available in the states, but that's the worst I've had of the brands I've been able to try(I like Leksands). When I say "worst", we're dealing in subtleties here. They're all fairly bland heavy crackers, and Wasa is ok, but there's better available.

This is the site I bought from. First time, so I don't particularly recommend them, and buyer beware, but I'm pretty certain they're legit...

For a good cracker that you /may/ be able to find locally, or get reasonably on amazon is FinnCrisp. These are much thinner than the traditional knäckebröd, and very crisp. Quite good with cheese or kippered herring. They're one of my favorite crackers. They come in Original, Caraway, and Multigrain. All are good, and I don't have a strong preference. They're variations on a theme, and I might lean towards Caraway, but I buy all three as a change of pace.

An example. I didn't check for the best deal...

Code:
https://www.amazon.com/Finn-Crisp-Crispbread-Caraway-7-Ounce/dp/B000JJHSPW/ref=sr_1_2?crid=21ZY7Z4JJL2HC&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.LQYHXW3L5xl8_V22q6BEON2J6lLLLursOt02f4v2mJ7ZQHDTPqn4NgkFqZV9GkFujGf3Ci6G9dyVFVpUtSacWFNxP8q0L2hESCefJaLbRYqzV8lT64l6ZjUZ1WhtbNx4kcKfjd_sFxA8pKpQ0IXTbbrvbNDe9f6pu2zUcBIivg7tMyIY8iDrm72TVEANxBWKjpwo-FE9JIBbpeTANhN5aNfq0ADdEJjXWA2Egm5U9NijVcjcBbsqNI5_NEJIMPFQNROPP4h35mBG1tqcg2rf1S6nDJ6fZdmn8OLEiW5I83M.0cs3cOhl-rxCTf4tmBAmHUiBrQUWrV3maosaObR4Q2M&dib_tag=se&sprefix=finncrisp%2Caps%2C179

They also "make" a traditional knäckebröd, but it comes from Sweden, not Finland, so someone's making it for them. It's good, but not as good as Leksands.

Yea, I suppose I could make my own. There was a time I seriously considered being a professional baker, but working in a bakery killed any joy I got from that. I'd rather leave it to the pros, and not mess up the kitchen making a product that's likely inferior to what I can just buy.

Matzo's strangely addictive. It could hardly be blander, but when I get a box I blow through it fast. "Ok, just one more..." :^D

I got 10/10 correct answers on the final quiz for an online course. The course incorrectly scored two as incorrect. I still passed but I want to win by more.
