I bought some Sneider's hotdogs, didn't notice it says hot and spicy on it. Now the twins won't touch it after one bite :colbert:

WTF, why do you need to add spice to hotdog?

PS Just realised this is not the first time I have done this. Now I have to read when grabbing stuff :colbert:

I couldn't find my Beats Fit Pro so I used Find My and it said they were last seen somewhere I was at yesterday. I was getting dressed to trek and see if I could get lucky and find them. I had little hope but anything might happen. When BOOM I see them next to my bed right when I'm leaving.

I was under the impression that Find My will... find them? Seems logical with the name, but since these aren't Airpods or an AirTag, it only sorta can find them. I learned today it logs the last place you had them out of the case. So if you set them down when you're out but hadn't taken them out the case, you'll never find them with the app. Also the Find My beep locator won't beep if they're in the case if you can't find the case. These are some real solid design choices by Apple, good technology with seemingly little thought put into the implementation.

So now I have to set a stupid reminder to remind me when I get home to open the damn case so Find My will tell me they're here so I don't go thru this shit again. I hate 1stworldproblems, I really thought I was gonna have to listen to the non Spatial Audio version of an album today.

I'm gonna need a dental implant. I bit down on something hard while eating dinner a couple of months ago and knocked my crown (on a root-canal'd tooth) loose, and cracked the tooth. $8800, but after insurance it'll be $4600 which isn't terrible. The cool thing is I'll be part metal, just like Wolverine.

The way more significant other (TWMSO): I want to let more natural light into the basement
The insignificant self (TIS): Err, it's the basement, the only way to get more natural light into it is to get rid of the house.

TWMSO: Then I want to get rid of the wall of the staircase where it turns.

TIS: you can't, one, there is hvac ducts, secondly that is a load bearing wall, even if you remove the drywall it is not going to be open concept.

TWMSO: Well we'll let the contractor figure it out

Contractor: No you can't, there is hvac ducts and it is a load bearing wall

TWMSO: Oh, OK

Get a 900 pair fibre optic cable, spread out the strands and put them in holes in the ceiling everywhere, then run the other end outside and point it at the sun.

I joke... but that would probably actually be pretty neat.

I think I am going to grab a broad rim hat, string full spectrum rope led on the rim and give it to her. She can now have simulated sunlight wherever she goes.

Modern problems require modern solutions.

Better idea, gooseneck ring light. Fashion a frame that fit in a backpack and voila, she has halo.

My top monitor just flickered... not a good sign. It's a pita troubleshooting display issues and I finally had my stuff working well for years. Until now. I really hope this is not the start of something and was just a weird fluke. I've had my stuff working well but it took a lot to get to this point. Multi monitors can be a pita, it's either you get lucky, and it just works, or you run into weird problems. Drivers, GPU, cables... can take a while to narrow it down. Considering I worked from home all week and it never did it when the KVMs were switched to work, I suspect it's related to my machine so either drivers or the cable going to it...

Eventually I'd love to do away with the KVMs as I'm sure that adds variables into the mix, but I don't have the room for individual workstations.

I use tapioca starch for coating meat to fry. So the starch comes with a clear outer bag secured with tape. No problem remove tape. Then the top of the bag is heat sealed. But the bottom of the bag is folded then taped.

Shouldn't they just flip the bag around when printing and have the top open? The clear one can just be tape sealed from bottom if they are worried about leakage.

WTF...
