Ever look at dip ingredients?
Yes, I always do. The few times I use a veggie dip, it's usually ranch dressing. 2 Tbsp is what is called a serving, which is way more than I use per meal, has 2g of saturated fat and I eat about 1 Tbsp so half that.
Typical steak, 21g saturated fat per serving (3oz) and if I'm doing steak, I'm eating at least 2 servings. That's a choice, but hey, if you're firing up the grill and cleaning it after, and you have a hankering for steak, 3oz for an adult male is not going to cut it, period.
1g vs 42g is not hard to wrap my head around. Sodium is a different matter, but the ranch dressing is only 150mg/tbsp or so. YMMV how much you salt your steak or whatever.
