What first names do you associate with, uh, underacheving (being a loser)?

I have a vague theory in which I believe people's first names make a considerable impression on how they portray themselves, as well as how others react to them. For example, how seriously would you take a resume for a senior vice-president position if the guy was named Bozo? Just an example - let's talk normal names.

Okay...in my mind, anyone named Dustin is pretty much guaranteed a life of unfulfillment. I think this sprung from watching the infamous "Screech", aka Dustin Diamond.

Hmmm.....I would say Drew/Drue for a guy.....they are always dumb as posts.

I know a couple people named Dustin that are cool. I'd say "Melvin", "Cleetus", and "Oberdorfer" (last name, but still) are on the list.

I've known an awful lot of guys named either Lance or Jason who were pretty much worthless.

Unrelated, but I once knew a guy named Deiter Yatz. The interesting thing was that he was a pickup-drivin', cowboy hat wearin', absolute redneck. If you saw him and had to guess, you'd think his name was Bubba.

When I was in middle school, this kid changed his name to Sean. Apparently he was mercilessly teased at another middle school in the city and decided to change his name. It didn't matter because once you're a Dustin, you're always a Dustin. He transferred out at the end of the year.

Therefore I conclude that having the name of Dustin is a curse. The End.
