What feature on a car would stop you from buying it?

They still do that?

I wouldn't buy a car that doesn't have powerlocks/windows. Been there, hated that ...

Any sort of automatic adjustments to anything on the stereo. My mom's Passat quiets the sound when you slow down, and it gets louder the faster you go.

so you don't like German cars then eh? I think my friends g37 also has it on the passenger side.

I hate the new cars that won't let you listen to the radio when you exceed 85mph. I thinks you are having an emergency when you go that fast and shuts down.

Agreed.

What's wrong with a gas cap on the driver side???😕

I don't see anyone who said there was a problem with it on the driver's side.

What's wrong with a turbo?

Wasn't it the first gen G35 coupe that had a tampon in the glove compartment? It was supposed to be part of the first aid kit or something.

My mom's Camry (07) has that; it's an option you can turn off. On the Camry stock stereo I believe it's called ASL (automatic sound limiter?).

For me, the ultimate deal-killer is automatic transmission.

My Jetta has it like that. Annoys the hell out of me...lol.

My GLI is the same way, in fact, all VW's are like that, I think most if not all German vehicles are the same way.

Back to the topic. What I hate are loads and loads of plastic on the inside, drum brakes, body kits, touring size tires, and RWD except if it's a 4x4 truck.

Real life gas mileage -- measured and continually rechecked by resetting the trip odometer -- under 20mpg. In fact, I want significantly more if I can find it in a vehicle that suits my needs and that I like.

If they ever put that annoying talking computer back in cars.
I hated those ones in the 80's.
"Your door is ajar" !
"Your door is ajar" !
"Your door is ajar" !
"Your door is ajar" !
"Your door is ajar" !

And you couldn't turn it off !

If it has an ECU. I want simple easy to work on and the least amount of cheap plastic shit to break. When this 95 Corolla breaks I'm goin old again. Damn I miss my old cars.

I would not buy any car that:

has an auto tranny;
has 4 doors;
has onboard nav;
has a spoiler;
has the gas cap BEHIND THE LICENSE PLATE.

I guess that's about it... i'm indifferent to power windows/mirrors/door locks/etc and other typical features.

I wouldn't buy a car without cruise control, as I was glad I got a car that had that feature when I had to drive from Phoenix to Houston, it saved me a bit of sanity, given how unscenic the drive was.

Agreed.

Nutty. Mine has an option to increase the volume with speed.
