<< oh yeah, tiesto @giant

they had that one at the hollywood athletic club i think

they drained the olympic size pool and party down there hhahaahha

and i know exactly what club you're talking about; that place is a little crackhouse; i admit though, people aside, i like the venue; it's clean, nice restrooms, cheap water; crappy outdoor area though, and it is most def a crackhouse

hm...right now i listen to about 60/30/10 house/trance/other; i listen to alot of downtempo for fun, derrick carter, dj sneak, a little bit of dj dan's older stuff, roger sanchez, eric morillo, trance wise i tend to listen to a lot of paul van dyk, christopher lawrence owns me, hm, not very picky on trance that much anymore, i just stopped listening to the epic/uplifting stuff for the most part, a little tiesto here and there but that's it; also love to hear breaks every once in a while, adam freeland, simply jeff, a buncha smaller cats.

we get ed rush/optical and glaude down here ALOT
>>

Ed Rush/Optica are residents at Buzz@Nations and so was Donald Glaude. I was there when he recorded his Mixed Live CD...You should get that...It's totally crucial..same night Bassbin Twins was there too. Here is a list of the current residents at Buzz

Deep Dish
Tall Paul
DJ Dan
Ed Rush
Optical
Ryme Tyme
Dieselboy
Total Science
Dave Ralph
Feelgood
Scott Henry
John Tab

I think Donald Glaude is too busy so he had to cancel his residency. CL is from LA right? He's one of those Superstar DJ's now...must be nice that hes from your area. Our local hero is Scott Henry...he practically helped invent the scene around here.
I forgot to mention I also love UK Hardhouse...There's this DJ Madam Zu from the UK that came here, she looks likes almost 40 but she tore it up...right after Carl Cox too...And i didn't think it could get any sicker than Carl's set that night.

*note to other people, don't mind our little conversation here, who knows, dl some of these dj sets*

yeah i have that donald glaude cd, that's how i knew about that club; i don't really care for it though, glaude is NOT a cd dj, he's great at parties but on cd's he's wack

yep CL is from LA, we get him here alllllll the time, once every 6 weeks or so, it's great =) CL is a super star dj, but he doesn't quite charge as much as the other ones yet; he's only 6k per 1.5 hours =)

But he's totally into it though, I got staff access to a party he was spinning at, his requirements are limo ride and a plush hotel

in stark contrast, mark farina only wants a rental car

True...Donald Glaude's CD's are nothing to dance about...his live performances are the shiznits tho, I've never seen any DJ that gets so into it while spinning like him. I heard sometimes he goes out on the dancefloor to dance with the crowd...thats why his Mixed Live CD is so off the hook... maybe more so since i was there hehe. But then again, I haven't really heard a studio produced CD that I really liked in a long time..maybe PVD's Politics of Dancing was the last one. Live mixes are the way to go and most people won't be able to get exposed to that unless they know where to download it or have friends with the hookups. Damn limo rides and plush hotels huh...well if he can command it, i say its all good. I saw EdRush, Optical and MC Rhymetyme pull up and walk into the entrance when i was about to enter to the club. Not many people knew it was them but me and my friend spotted him out. Ed Rush was mad chill, I said whatsup to him and he turned around and smiled and said whatsup man!. I've seen many a snooty ass DJ's that are too big for themselves and their fans. So any club plans for tonite?

That's cool...I know what you mean about priorities...I screwed up in College and i'm paying for it now. I'm taking some time off to make some money for tuition and living expenses since I live on my own now. I'll be done in another year or so. BTW, to the original poster of this thread, I'm sorry if we hijacked your thread and went off topic. I hope you got the answers you were looking for.

man. i don't know about you but i've gone through the WHOLE range of electronic music.

started with trance,
went to goa trance,
went to house,
then to hard house,
then to hardcore,
then to jungle,
the dnb and breakz,
and now i'm more into the mellow techno. ambient or atmospheric drum n bass.

Here's my playlist
I don't know or care what genre it is.
I call it techno/trance.
Most songs are of similar beats and "instruments" with vocals mixed in.
Someone tell me what I listen to.

anthem/uplifting/epic trance is what you listen to with a little bit of cheese mixed in. Good tracks...webster hall...ahh that was a classic cd....
