what ever happened to little ceasars pizza ?

nope we have one out by my house. $7.99 for a large pizza AND an order of CRAZY! bread! gonna get a few of them for our party on saturday night! 😀 mmmmmmmmm little ceaser's mmmmmmmmm

Corporate's still in business...I suppose they extended too far and had to contract. The pizza market is loaded with various players and Little Caesars Pizza isn't exactly top of the food chain.

They filled a niche though...someone had to be the Costco of pizza-selling

They still own the Tigers and Red Wings in Detroit, so they can't be doing too badly.
If they needed capital, they could raise 200+ million real fast.

They used to have good pizza, I swear in 1990 they had better pizza than any other delivery company like them(Dominos, Pizza Hut etc)

LH that would be difficult as Little Ceasers NEVER DELIVERED.

Ahhh...but they did 🙂

Don't you remember the commercials of their drivers practicing ringing doorbells?

It was toward the end of Little Ceaser's days as a big player in the pizza market...probably 98 or so...

All I could find:

"We take all the necessary precautions not to endanger our drivers," said Pat Buck, president of Saco Corporation, which owns the local Little Ceasar's franchise. "We are not going to jeopardize an employee over a pizza. We call the customer back and apologize."

From a 6 Jan 99 article in some random paper

Funny, they have always delivered in Canada and still do.

Yeah, and the owner [of little ceaser's] plans on building a giant cucifix in downtown detroit, I guess it's going to be the biggest one in the world.

They all used to deliver, they started out as delivery and take out. Then most of the franchises dropped delivery. I remember, having it delivered one week then, they just up and stopped delivery.

Little Caesars use to deliver. The Mankato, MN store was the first to deliver pizza.....a few years before corporate decided to go ahead with deliver. I was one of the first drivers for them. I became good friends with the owners of the Southern Minnesota stores. Seems that a lot of the store owners are families owning a half dozen to a dozen stores. Well, after becoming good friends with the family after eating and drinking in their dine-in buffet restaurant/bar (Bet you didn't know that either. There were three LC restaurant/bars in the country in the early 90s), I decided to moonlight for them as they started off testing the delivery market waters. LC tacked on $2 extra for deliver and that was given directly to delivery drivers who punched off the clock to deliver the pizza. I made some good money back then when I "stacked" the deliveries to a dorm. 30 minute round trip, 4 deliveries @ $2=$8 for 1/2hour. Back in the early 90s that was some sweet, easy money.
