That's called the Grandfather clause. Say you went back in time to kill your grandfather. Even if you do it, it is still impossible. Because if you killed your grandfather, you wouldn't exist, so you couldn't have killed your grandfather.

Oh my God, I've gone cross eyed. 😕

hang out with jesus and perhaps save him with the weapons that you bring over from today. hmmm would that destroy the christian religion and something else will take its place?

Technically, assuming you believe Jesus was the son of God, he HAD to die. You could not have stopped it, even with millions of rounds of ammo.

jesus clearly underestimated the power of a belt fed general electric minigun. 😎

Pearl Harbor
stop the sneak attack
didnt they make a movie about that back in the 80s?
Even if we could we should never ever attempt to alter history. Changing the slightest thing could have horrible unintended consequences let alone an event like Pearl Harbor which would have massive ramifications.
Whatever you say, Doc 😀

As for me, it'd be a tough choice between Roswell, 1947, and Woodstock... probably Woodstock, since that way I'd get to experience the pinnacle of music live and see UFOs (not to mention tons of other stuff) 😉

Ha...took me a second but I got it. 😉

Going off of the Once in a Lifetime Thread what event/era would you go to if you could only go to one?
Myself, it would be hard to choose over the past 5,000 plus years of recorded history...but probably the American Revoutionary War or the American Civil War....Event would be most likely the Wright Brothers first flight 102 years ago

Being witness to Jesus' death and rising

OT but I'd really like to see what it would be like a few hundred years from now as well. Space travel really interests me for some reason.

Definitely a battle during WWII, the largest single event in history. Something like Omaha Beach. Damn that mustve been a sight.
