Roswell, New Mexico with a news crew and guns.

Unfortunately, if I did do that, I would never have a reason to go back in time and do this in the future anbd chances are hte world would have changed so much, I would never have been born. Maybe I did do it, but because of how space and time work, it jsut never stuck?

Go to Mt Sinai when God revealed the 10 Commandments to Moses ? The one religious event in history that was witnessed by an entire group of people? Witnessing this event would change my view on religion/god if in fact it really happened.

I think I would go back to the moment the time machine was invented. Then I would have two time machines, and two of me. Then I would go back to the moment right after the moment I went back to when the time machine was invented. Then I would have 3 time machines. I would do this probably 20-30 times, then disperse myself throughout time.
That way, whenever I died in one time, I could come back again, pretty much making myself immortal. In a manner of speaking.
I would also probably make out with myself. I think that would be cool.

I'd like to have been born 50 to 100 years into the future. I'd love to see what will be around then... what we've done in space, the computers, health technology, etc. Having said that, it may just be some nuclear winter.

Edit: If we're talking going back in time, well I'd love to see dinosaurs roaming the earth. I guess I'd have to travel through various points to see all the different types of animal. I'd like to see exactly how they became extinct, also.

I'd go back to January 2001 and warn the government about what was going to happen over the summer and in the fall. Of course, then I would probably be arrested because of threats against the government, then the terrorists would strike and then they would believe me.

 But seriously, that's what I'd do, probably... stop that one event from causing so much more pain and agony in the world.

Why not just go back and kill Mohammed as a child? That would probably save millions of lives, from not having the Crusades and not having radical Islamic terrorists.

Can we do Mary, Joseph and Abraham while we are at it?

Well, at least you're fulfilling the dreams of some guy who lived 50 to 100 years ago.

And smack him with a good solid shovel... :D

I'd like a time range... I'd like to see the pyramids started, and then be there the day they're completely finished. Or perhaps when Brian pushed the Vikings back...

I dunno.. there's a lot of history I'd like to see first hand..

The Battle of the Bulge or the world's biggest tank battle at Kursk. Really I would kill to see any WWII battle but Hitler's last gasp during the BoB would be incredible to witness.

i would like to be present for the war of 1812.

or i would like to have been present when they penned the Constitution... this way i could warn the founding fathers to be much more specific in what they mean to stop all this loophole finding to misinterpret it.
