I am an 11th grader in High school. I dont drink nor do i do drugs. Fom what i see is its mostly peer preasure. And the person who is putting the preasure on is normaly doing because he/she wants to look more adult. Im sure this was mentioned but I am gonna put it down all the same.

I hate alcohol because no one can control themselves when under the influence... my gf loves to go out and party and i dont trust her at all when drinking...

pot is a different story, like others said, your inhibitions are still there so you can control yourself, and in my opinion its a much safer way to have fun...

<< [That's the excuse all the muscians use, lol! Pot also impairs motor skills. Its the alcohol equivalent of saying "I drive better when drunk." Its only a perception that you have because you're high. Really, I thought the same thing when I played guitar. Its not true, but if you think it is, because your perception is a bit altered when high, well then you will be a believer. >>

I'd still have to disagree with you there, because I do record my playing on occasion. I'll have set up a little experiment with some impartial listeners to see which recordings they think are better.
Admittedly, music is experienced differently whilst high, which I would have to say is the reason for the difference. The same way you can listen to the same song mixed by different DJs, and experience it differently as a result. If you were to try to play a solo over the aforementioned hypothetical songs, they would most likely turn out differently, thanks to different beats/phrasings/what-have-you's.
Anyway, that's my current opinion, and I'm sticking to it until it changes. :)
