I hate all the people who bid on my stuff and claim that "someone(kid, nephew) logged into their account and bid on it without knowing what was going on" or people that just don't provide information to complete the transaction quickly. Oh and paying fees for auctions that don't sell really cuts into profits![]()

Huh? If an item does not sell, you do not have to pay the listing fees

Each day, more & more companies appear on ebay. Every other item you search for, you have to wade through huge BIN deals before getting to the two or three items offered by regular people. Because of that, there isn't much of a savings. So many businesses are scared of actually listing an auction. There's no point anymore.

would it be better if they made if free to list and only charged a subscription fee if you wanted to list more than like 5 items? I'm pondering this. I'd rather just pay like $3-$5 per month and have unlimited listing and free media hosting. No final value fee.

What I hate about eBay is how EVERYONE wants to pay with PayPal but they'll get pissed if you try to offset the fees. Use a money order!!! It's like 3 extra days, big deal. I mean it takes PayPal 3-5 days to get the funds into one's bank account anyway.

The idiots who start bidding on an item within 30 minutes of it being listed, which then gets other idiots seeing it's been bid on and they bid, pushing the price up early - well that's good if you're the seller!![]()

With that said, I love eBay. Been selling my useless crap on there since 1999 and making great spare cash.

^ I realize this! And it SUCKS! We should be able to charge for the "convience" just like PayPal charges us.

being stuck at my computer until an auction ends
isnt that what proxy bidding is for? I thought you could enter in a maximum bid and walk away, and eBay would only bid up to your maximum, and would only go as high as needed to be the top bidder.
